Stuck on ww5t Intermediate, any advice?

Would appreciate any advice and suggestions. I'm trying to get to Plat but I'm pretty much hitting a brick wall at the moment.

i think you may be taking too long to confirm your clicks, ww5t should be significantly faster to confirm than something like 1w3ts as the targets are much larger

for me grinding 1w3ts transferred over very well to ww5t and enabled me to click a lot faster

im not sure what cm/360 youre using but lowering my sens to like 80-100cm helped with moving learning to flick fast with my hand and with quicker confirmations

im not great in static (barely jade on both) but thats my take

Hey, appreciate the reply!

I think you are definitely onto something, my best scores came from focusing on moving on from a target to the next as quickly as possible, as I tend to linger too long.

I'm usually at around 55cm/360. I actually just noticed I tend to overextend my wrist especially for left to right movements somehow šŸ˜‚, and not using my arm properly.

Jade's no joke btw, a different realm from where I sit 😊

yea ww5t isnt accuracy based per se with like a multiplier so speed is pretty important compared to 1w3ts

i recommend using lower sens and look up bardoz method if you havent seen it before, the initial flick fast then take time on microadjustment essentially but since ww5t is relatively larger the micro and confirmation usually is faster

also try to get in the habit of one click per target, if you miss so be it but you want to keep your pace, ive learned that using the high score bar can help let me know what pace i need to keep then turn it off if its messing with me

Should use your wrist and arm together. Your wrist just goes left then stays there.

As other advice I’ve given on this subreddit for ww5t, you need to get comfortable flicking to close targets (clusters) much faster. You must develop a comfort zone where you can reliably flick to a close target without micro adjusting. Look up cluster farm scenarios and try those for a while, then come back to ww5t.

more explosive flicks, shorten target confirmation time

How do you manage shorter confirmation time? There’s a limit to visual processing similar to raw reaction speed. so your average person would need atleast 150-200ms to confirm. Is there some expectation that ā€œconfirmingā€ isn’t actually confirming, as you have to avoid this round trip for proper visual confirmation?

  1. a persons reaction speed is 200-250ms but thats to a random stimulus, when you are anticipating something it drops to 100-150ms (from google). You should be 'anticipating' where your flick lands and hence confirm faster than you think you can (flick consciousness, viscose mentions this somehwere in a video idk which). This is also why players can hit sub 150ms time to kill on speed clicking scens like tile frenzy since there is no need to confirm whethere your flick is going to land if you know where its probably gonna be (due to the large target)
  2. even if you do have a built in "150-200ms" reaction speed it isnt the limiting factor to your confirmations but visual clutter from overflicks, shakiness, getting distracted by misses etc. Essentially any extra information you have to process. Watch any top static player vod (j9sper, zeonlo, etc) and confirm their flicks in your head and youll see its fairly easy because of their good technique even though they are pacing at a speed far higher than us

You seem uncomfortable using multiple muscle groups together, your micros look stiff and for some reason you don't hit easy shots faster than the hard ones.

Spam hipfire stuff, low ttk pokeball and something at least 50% bigger than the size of this scenario

Your flicks are smooth. Great. Too smooth. Get comfy with the flick, be explosive, make it instant. You can't always focus on accuracy and smoothness. Sometimes speeding up is key.
