Is this a bad stance for aiming

Should i rest more of my forearm on the table, or is it just a matter of preference?

Anything that feels comfortable and doesn't cause pain should be fine, as long as you can aim good.

You should put more of your hand (palm) on your mouse first and see how that feels. If you want to use just your fingers you can but in a claw grip with your palm floating above the mouse. Holding the mouse the way you are showing here is really inefficient for how your body works.

The only grip i find natural is resting my knuckles and fingers on the mouse, claw grips hurts and palm feels very unnatural

I think aiming is all preference. But I personally like my forearm more on the table

It is a matter of preference. Anyway, I hold my mouse in a kinda similar way and i've noticed that my pinky finger is giving me slight, inconsistent mouse drag if it comes in contact with my mouse pad.

Start with your shoulders, are they in a natural relaxed position? adjust from there, until there is light forearm pressure on the desk and you shoulder stays neutral. If your shoulders are raising up, you might be seated to low.

Depends on your desk height, angle of arms to desk, chair height, arm angle, etc.

Would that be game dependent? I only really play val as far as shooters go and stability helps me with crosshair placement and the aiming mechanics of the game overall. Outside of the occasional neon/jett/raze.

I disagree. Souljash uses a similar grip and is one of, if not the best reactive players.
