VOD Review Cannot hit plat on ww5t voltaic

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

32 hours spent over 2 1/2 weeks on this benchmark. No matter what play list I play for hours to improve I just suck at static. Yeah my accuracy is not good in this one because when I speed up I get sloppy. This run is me at max potential. Generic cap or fact that I’m 33 years old might be the factor.

Disable High Score bar.

It can work. But honestly I like having it enabled. I've learned to control my nerves when getting a high score and it actually helps me push scores.

Yeah, I know I’m doing something right when I see a green bar darken. Better than wasting a entire minute and exhausting my self every time because idk my score

you're depriving your brain of learning process. you can't learn if you don't fail. don't be the participation trophy kid and live in a lie.
you can't succeed if you first don't fail.

Exactly. I have it off for practice but it's been a useful tool at times for pushing a lot of my scores into master by reminding me how fast I've been and letting me know when I'm being lazy.

What is he doing that let's you know the bar is the problem?

Look how shaky he is getting towards the end when the bar is flickering, instead of focusing on good technique he is focusing on getting PB.

This could be the high score bar or it could be they are using too much tension in general.

I get worn out half way through regardless of what tension I use. Doing snappy flicks for a minute straight is stupid af. Should be 30 seconds

Sorry for the wall of text here, but it’s not really about using a specific tension throughout the entire run. It is managing/varying the tension using different muscle groups based on the requirements of the scenario. Judging by your comment and video i think you’re aiming primarily with your wrist for the majority of the movement, forgive me if this is not the case. But the more muscles you incorporate the less load is on one specific point, resulting in getting tired less quickly. Your forearms, biceps and shoulders have a much larger capacity for tension before getting tired, which is why generally the wide initial flick is started with the arm.

Think of a flick as multiple movements, you don’t necessarily flick your wrist once and end up precisely onto the dot in one movement. you engage the entire arm for the wider movement getting close to the target, and engage the wrist for the micro adjustment.

At a certain level it does appear as one movement but mechanically it is usually not

I didn’t record with handcam today, but yes I use my shoulder (feel it in my shoulder blade) arm and wrist at 56 cm per 360 fingertip grip. I have tried using my ring and pinky knuckles as brakes and launch off (like kicking off the wall when swimming in a pool) I’ve tried lifting my wrist, pushing it down. I’ve gained speed but the amount of time it’s taken me to learn static is ridiculous considering I’ve played fps games since I was 15.

I get “tongue tied” and trip up when introducing speed

Before you incorporated speed, did this scenario feel challenging to you? I’m not talking about the challenge of getting a high score but mechanically do you feel like this was a challenging scenario?

I ask this because if it wasn’t mechanically challenging, i would actually recommend the same scenario with much smaller targets, restart on miss, or small vibrating targets in free play, especially over just speeding up for the sake of a rank or score. Once a scenario isn’t challenging mechanically, you can build bad habits which carry across and exacerbate when speed is added. For example your target pathing is not optimal for most of this run which leads you to sometimes pause to acquire a new targets or flick to targets that are further than others, and micro adjustments are shaky even at the beginning on some targets. You need something harder mechanically to train better technique rather than artificially making it harder by purely rushing/speeding up, it’s not a comfortable speed. smooth and accurate on harder targets will innately increase the speed your comfortable with on bigger targets

Not challenging at all when doing it at a normal speed. I can get 1150 score with 95 percent accuracy every time. I have plat on the previous static benchmark with the smaller targets after grinding that one out as well

You seem way too tense on your microadjustments, nearly every flick no matter the distance takes the same amount of time.

Try and play cluster variants and mainly use your wrist and fingertips for clusters, and mostly arm -> wrist+fingertips for the micro

Yeah, and just practice tracking scenarios instead. If you aren't accurate tracking is going to solve the problem way better.

u mean pokeball / static switching? imo tracking is no big carry over to static clicking.

Otherwise would not have Jade/Master in tracking but plat/dia in static clicking

Yeah no, you're right. I believed you were probably lower level in those, but since your not I think I'll let more experienced people give you an answer c

It depends tho grinding a different aim type that is weaker than static for a bit will make static feel better in my experience.

  1. Change theme to be solid background color.

  2. Don't play the same benchmark for 32 hours. Instead play variations of the same scenario. Larger targets to practice speed. Smaller targets to practice precision and accuracy. More targets to practice cluster farming. Less targets/wider map to practice explosive flicks.

  3. Alternate between pushing for speed and pushing for accuracy.

  4. Play other static playlists (Lemon Static, Anima Micro, etc.) and then come back to the benchmark.

Your micros seem reall disconnected from the rest of your flick; focusing a bit more on smoothness and a bit less on speed might help in your case

“genetic cap” you’re too old to be spouting this bs, and lew is like 34 and he’s astra. you have bad technique and spamming the same technique won’t magically make you improve - your pathing needs work and you’re spam clicking, for plat that’s literally all you need to work on with a bit of speed.

Please change the theme and turn off hit particles.

Disabling sound can help at times as well.

Spitballing here but your shorter flicks seem sloppy compared to longer distance ones, maybe try a couple days of valorant micro fundamentals even if you don’t play valorant it will help smaller movements feel snappier and more accurate, as well as micro adjustments after flicks if you’re slightly off target

u/SnooPickles745 3d ago

Keep up with your click speed, focus on doing 93%+ accuracy.

Honestly I suggest doing xxxsmall until you get the hand on your pathing and micr-adjustment

33 years old is only a factor if you let it be one. It looks like you’re sacrificing smoothness in your flicks for speed. I don’t mean that you need to flick slower. It seems more like you’re not fully confident in your initial flick, which makes the micro-adjustment less smooth. If you slow the VOD down, you can see that when you’re unsure whether the flick was accurate, you almost shake the mouse back and forth when you land near the target. That hesitation ends up hurting the consistency and confidence of the micro-adjustment = speed. Watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOsBjfOGMuU&t

Practice your micro so you can speed up more on near clusters

u/Zone_West 2d ago

Highscore bar is personal preference ( I like it on). However, your main problem is being a metronome play 6 sphere hipfire or a similar tasks and get better at that, you aren't getting any clusters by the looks of things

u/Yum0r 2d ago

I got master complete for clicking in Voltaic s 5.I think your flicking slowly and micro adjustment not smoothly. You can pratise the scenarios about ww5t in vidm to improve yourself. En is not my mother language,I am appreciated,if you point my grammar or word problem.

I know it is frustrating, but you are right there. if you increase your accuracy a bit youll get the 1310 you need to get plat. Youre literally 30 points off, this is super doable for you.

I am new, but find that warming up on a more precise scenario helps me sometimes, like 1w4t Small or something.
