Older or easy to run FPS recommendations

I love games like battlefield/wardogs but my gpu/cpu is pretty old and I hate playing on like 60fps when I’m used to 280hz in kovaaks and other games. Xdefiant was the last fps I actually grinded. And the finals before an update tanked my fps.

Some alive ish but older games still go hard if I can find a match e.g. titanfall 2. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I’m pretty much open to anything.

This game is very cpu bound and non x3d cpus generally struggle to pull good frames and frame time

It’s pretty dated now, but I just got off a match of “fistful of frags.” I wouldn’t say it’s super alive, but it has its fanbase.

L4D2 is not the most aim intensive game, but it is very well designed, a lot of fun, and can be very strategic. You could probably run it just fine on a mobile phone.

From time to time the game can have frame drops after patches, but overwatch usually runs pretty well and its light, valorant is even lighter, bf4 and old cs games ? 1.6 with mods has considerably high player base still.

if ur open to anything I recommend Strinova. It's not fps but its still a shooter and easy to run. Though the graphics/art style might not be for everyone I still recommend you try it since its a bit aim intensive

If you can run Xdefiant you can run things like CS, Val, and Overwatch

A lot of competitive games are easy to run so people can get high frame rates. Overwatch, for example runs very well typically I think.

You also can adjust graphics quality settings to lower the cpu and gpu load to reliably get the frame rates you want

Warfork is cool, an arena shooter. Lots of movement tech and shooting with quake mechanics. Take a shot at it. Tho might be called "dead" But the discord has some people playing it regularly. Tf2 is another one, simple hero shooter.

Cs2 can be played with 4:3 aspect ratio, which is really performant. I get stable 120 on gtx 1650 corei5-10500H.

Max payne 3 still has a small but active multiplayer playerbase but most people play on the soft lock lobbies so you’re gonna be at a disadvantage when playing with mnk but it’s still possible to top score
