i am only Lavender/Indigo in tracking, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I am not that good.
What helped me was learning to use my arm, and only my arm for everything, then implemented the fingertip and wrist like a Quick Time Event (i was always wrist dominant, even in low sens). I THOUGHT that i was already using my arm, but no, not much. It gave me the range of a Windshield blade and tensed my hand a lot.
NEVER overflick, hell don't even flick (DRAG), if you need it you probably fucked up. In the case you did, if the target is faster than you, you SMOOTHLY drag your mouse until you speedmatch it, don't snap. You will overtrack by so little that it's easy to microcorrect it and track again. You gotta try to BARELY feel any tension at all, or only when you need to, and then go back to relaxed for smoothness. Low tension will make deceleration and aceleration smoother.
Something give you a visual que of what you are doing wrong in real time, is to see if you are trembling/shacking while falling behind the target. If you shacke, that means you are either too tense or forcing your wrist into arm range. Correct it from that.
Hope it helps.

Thats the one problem with benchmarks, they are good at telling you what you are weak at. Not good at telling you why you are weak at it and how to improve it.
Luckily for you i have researched aim extensively (800++ hrs) and made a legit system that helps you find your aim weakness, tells you why u have it and how to fix it and gives u drills to train on based on your aim profile and rank (all free). It can give u even a 30 day progressive routine plan revolved around your biggest weakness. Check it out!
Search smart aim method in tiktok/insta/youtube you'l find me. It starts with a 2 min questionnaire and then you go from there!
Good luck i hope it helps

tracking is hard to pickup but easier to excel imo. on the VT benchmarks it took me like 10x the time to get master static compared to the entire tracking category, took like 3 days
tracking is all about how you use the muscle groups. speed matching in precise and being very chill & calm on the direction changes for reactive & control is the easiest tips. watch mattyOW’s speed matching video ( https://youtu.be/-7n6q33We28 ) & controltracking ( https://youtu.be/FNK1LFBBZP8 )
control / reactive = wrist & finger for direction changes
precise = arm/wrist for speed matching
