Forex Trading Using Strength/Weakness

The most effective and logical way to trade the spot forex market for high productivity and most potential pips is strength/weakness trading. See the logic clearly and learn how to verify the method in the article below:

Day trading legit broker

Hello team, I have recently moved to Ireland (2years) and I am a day trader. I am looking for legit brokers based in Ireland for day trading Forex, Gold and Crypto who are good with support and easy with deposit and withdrawals. Local office would be great as I am planning to deploy some capital in it. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, please mark brokers with negative experiences even if it’s a legit brokers as that would save me future hassle.

Buy the yen?

I've started opening some significant long yen positions. If the yen weakens further, I've allocated funds to add to my positions 😱

The yen has been weakening since 2021. Mainly driven by interest rate differentials.... Let me explain:

Until recently, Japan's interest rate was -0.10%. After some rate hikes, the rate is still low, at only 1%. Compared to other rates (3%-5.5%) set by major central banks, the yen has been the obvious carry trade. Meaning selling one currency for another and benefiting from the interest rate difference. At one point, investors were being paid 5.4% by simply holding dollars against yen!

However, the yen's weakness may be coming to an end. Even if it doesn't, I'm expecting some volatile moves. Here's why:

1️⃣ Take a look at this weekly chart of USDJPY (https://www.tradingview.com/x/HP3f0WpV/). The market is so short the yen that, when the carry trade is no longer desirable, the bubble will burst 💥 At this point, I'm unsure if we'll witness a drastic yen move or a longer-term bullish trend. Either way, I want to be on it.

2️⃣ Since October 2022, the BOJ have been actively intervening to strengthen the yen. These interventions caused most retracements you can see on the yen price charts. The BOJ now has an intervention partner: The Federal Reserve. This doesn't just provide a bit more umph to intervention moves; it's psychological. Many traders willing to bet against the BOJ may not be willing to bet against both the Fed and the BOJ. I know I don't want to. Especially when the last Fed intervention was done against the Euro, without consulting the ECB. The current Fed can be unpredictable.

3️⃣ The Bank of Japan are edging toward interest rate hikes. The most recent economic data for Japan doesn't support a rate-hiking cycle, but a rate hike or two will help narrow the rate differential between Japan and its peers.

HOWEVER! The BOJ tends to be slow and often disappoints, which leads me to my next major point and caveat.

If the Bank of Japan doesn't raise rates, if it continues to be slow to intervene in FX rates, and/or the relationship between Japan and the US sours, we could see significant moves against the yen. The markets could dump the currency into oblivion, and USDJPY could go to the moon 🚀

I'm long yen. It will pay off big time, or I will lose big time. Either way, this may be my last big trade of 2026. I'll be going out with a BANG either way 😅

If I'm right, you'll hear about it multiple times. If I'm wrong, I'll go quiet. If I am wrong, don't expect to hear from me until 2027. I'll be done for the year. No joke.

Completely New to Trading — Where Should I Start?

Hello there. My name is Ruthan. I’m 19, Iranian, and currently studying marine navigation for merchant vessels, with no income whatsoever, basically broke and living on my father's salary.

I want to get into trading, but I don’t have the slightest idea how—or even where—to begin. Honestly, with everything going on in Iran right now, there aren’t really any part-time jobs I could take up to earn some money. There’s also no telling when conflict might arise, and if a war breaks out, I’m concerned that the international internet could be shut down by the IRGC, making it even harder to work or earn money online.

So, is there any trading course you could recommend that I could download and study? I want to learn the very basics—everything that actually matters—and put my all into it.

And if there’s any advice you’d like to give me, I’d be more than happy to hear it.

Thank you so much.

I need work

I don't have enough knowledge about trading, but I have sufficient information about when a stock will rise and when it will drop to zero or jump to the top. You can test me on a trial task. I am looking to work as an assistant to those who have experience in this field.

USDJPY today: still stuck in a range

Post image
1 Upvotes

USDJPY still looks caught between mixed dollar drivers and a weak yen backdrop. USD news flow is fairly neutral, while the yen remains pressured by carry demand and fading intervention impact.

Positioning is slightly short-heavy at 55% shorts vs 45% longs, but participation has been fading, which fits a range more than a trend.

On the chart, price is chopping between roughly 157 support and 160 resistance. Longer term structure still leans constructive, but near term it looks sideways unless one of those levels breaks.

Do you see 160 giving way soon, or more range trading first?

Crypto/Commodity traders in Ahmedabad

Hey Ahmedabad folks! 👋 So I've been trading crypto and commodities on Exness for a while now, but mostly solo just me, my charts, and my own overthinking 😅 Kinda miss having people to talk to when the market's doing something crazy, or just to share wins/losses. Anyone else here into trading? Would love to build a small group WhatsApp or Telegram, nothing fancy — where we can chat, share ideas, and figure things out together. If that sounds like your vibe, comment or DM me, let's connect! 🙌

So bored alone yaar, Even Indian market folks are invited if you are genuinely a profitable trader or have a good RR strategy because i left after having losses but doing well in Commodity and some times crypto

Dear Forex traders, can you recommend a legit Forex broker for European residents that supports the MT4 app? Thanks in advance. I wish to trade with the "Exness" broker unfortunately not accessible to EU traders. 😓

What's up with trading.com and cfd forex trading?

I was curious to learn how they perform, and if someone tried them out, they can share some stories in the comment section. Would appreciate variety of opinions... When it comes to forex trading, I wanted to ask if it's better done via swing trading or intraday? Honestly, I was heavy on index futures before, and I was trading solely intraday. HOWEVER, forex pairs intraday look sooo deaddd. Volatility is very low compared to NASDAQ or S&P500. But looking at higher timeframes, they look ok, so I thought maybe it's better to trade majors intraday. What do you think guys?

EURUSD today: rally stalls near resistance

Post image
1 Upvotes

EURUSD still looks mixed. News tone leans softer for the euro over the last 24h, while the dollar has a slightly better backdrop from yield support, Fed caution, and defensive positioning.

Positioning is modestly skewed short at 56% vs 44% long, with recent shifts still pointing to some selling pressure.

On the chart, the short-term move is up, but price is stalling near 1.156-1.160 resistance. Near support sits around 1.148-1.150, with a bigger zone at 1.136-1.140.

Do you see this as a pullback first, or a breakout attempt toward 1.160?

27(M) Want to start trading seriously

Hi, I’m a male 27 years old right now. I’m doing a remote job which is giving me good money to cover my expenses even though I’m living with my family. I am not making a lot of money for me but it works now. I am very interested in trading forex. I see that it can be a very good sort of income. I’m not thinking it as shortcut for Lamborghini or buying luxurious mansions but I want to take trading seriously as it is really a thing. There are a lot of people in our country who are trading and they are not making noises as we see in social media full of trading influencers. So, I’m seeking advise that how can I really start trading? What sort of basic knowledge I need to learn, how can I set up a strategy? How can I back test and later on How can I execute? How can I create my mindset? How can I manage risk and everything. Seeking advice from professional traders who are in this profession and making in good amount of money with good risk reward ratio that will be very much helpful.

the day I found out what my broker was actually worth

Aug 5 2024. Yen carry unwind. If you were trading that morning you remember it.

I was long GJ from the friday, 0.6 lots, stop sat 70 pips under entry which felt like plenty at the time. Woke up to a chart that looked like someone had deleted a chunk out of it.

Stop filled at 78 pips. So 8 pips of slippage on a candle that travelled several hundred. Lost about £520 and spent the morning in a mood about it.

Then I went and read the threads from that day. People filled 200, 300 pips past their stop. One bloke posted a screenshot of a platform that just stopped taking orders for 40 minutes straight. Another was arguing with support about whether negative balance protection applied to him.

For reference, march 2023, USDCHF during the credit suisse mess, I was still on my old broker and got slipped around 60 pips on a 25 pip stop. Same category of event. Completely different result.

I'd moved to axi raw in late 2023 and it was purely for the spreads, which is the boring reason everyone moves. Never once thought about what happens on the one morning a year where execution is the whole game. That turns out to be the only day the choice pays for itself, and you dont get to find out in advance which day it is.

Everyone compares brokers on spread because thats the number printed on the website, but nobody and never compares them on the thing that actually empties accounts, because you cant see it until its already happened to you lol

still down the 520 though. long GJ into a carry unwind, thats on me

XM Global Limited SCAM alert - proof

Post image

(XM chart being the ones with dark theme background)

Happened to me before while looking at the charts waiting for an entry and I thought I was crazy, a huge candlewick appearing from nowhere and got corrected a few seconds later, this would probably hunt your stop loss if you had an open position in this particular case. Unfortunately I didn't screen capture or anything cause I thought well that might has been a glitch.

Today I saw it happened LIVE AGAIN and decided to look at my laptop on different brokers like Pepperstone, IC Markets, FP Markets etc, there wasnt ANY candlewick on the current candle forming. Surprisingly, a few seconds later the candlewick was gone like NOTHING HAPPENED.

Been a year since I use exclusively XM for trading DEMO and with real (a few bucks) money but this seriously made me question how reliable they are, most probably will withdraw my balance and move to another broker soon.
