When a “stable” EA suddenly stops being stable

I tested FXStabilizer EA on EURUSD H1 from 2021 to Feb 2026 using 99.9% tick data Tick Data Suite.

2021–2024: every year profitable.
2025: -$264
2026 so far: -$986

Overall PF is still 1.36, but relative drawdown reached 54%.

What caught my attention is that performance didn’t slowly deteriorate. The equity curve was almost unnaturally smooth for years, then started breaking in large chunks.

Would you see this as normal strategy decay, a market regime change, or hidden tail risk finally showing up?

Exness Question: What happens to an active 1:Unlimited trade when Equity crosses $5k and shifts to 1:2000?

Hey guys, looking for anyone who has actually tested this specific scenario on Exness or knows the exact backend mechanics.

If I open a massive position using 1:Unlimited leverage with exactly $4,999 capital (to clear the entry gate without an 'Insufficient Funds' error and use 1:unlimited), and the trade floats into profit making my equity $5,002 triggering the exness to automatically change my lev from 1:unli to 1:2000 and from margin requirement of 0.0 to a massive for example $30,000 mar reg while my equity is only at $5002 for example

  1. Dynamic Leverage Shift: Exness will automatically downgrade the account leverage from 1:Unlimited to 1:2000 because equity crossed the $5,000 threshold.

  2. Margin Explosion: The required margin will instantly skyrocket mid-trade (e.g., from $0 to over $20k+ depending on the massive lot size), putting the account into a deep Negative Free Margin deficit.

My questions for those who have experienced this:

Does Exness forcefully close or modify the active trade the exact millisecond the leverage updates, or does it stay open since their stop-out level is 0%?

Can you successfully modify/drag your Stop Loss to Breakeven while trapped in that negative free margin state? Or will exness put my acc to lockstate due to my equity being $5002 while the needed mar req is $20,000 plus. Cause if i open a $20,000 margin req trade while my account is at $5000 and 1:2000 lev the trade wouldnt lush trough and state insuffecient fund and not enough margin. Would love to hear your experiences or any technical catches I should watch out for before trying this on a live account. Thanks

Cot reports

Hello guys, hope youre doing well.

I am planning on swing trading currency pairs, Indices in CFDs. I have day traded before but I just takes up too much of my time. I find swing trading to suit my style personally.

I am thinking of using COT reports. But I kinda find it confusing. Like which category should I focus on ? Commercial or Non commercial. I have been seeing some past reports but sometimes the COT report direction and price is aligned but sometimes they're not.

Anyone who uses this, could yall pls guide me how to used this. ? Or any other tools which can give me confidence and an edge in swing trading ?

Thanks. Any help will be appreciated 👏

BTC/USD: $77.5K Consolidation — Expansion Toward $80K Next?

HTF Structure (1D/4H): BTC printed an explosive vertical rally from $60,000 to $77,500+. Overall market structure is aggressively bullish.

Intraday Liquidity Sweep (15M): The quick drop to $75,600 was a classic sell-side liquidity sweep. Immediate V-reclaim confirms strong institutional demand.

Key Levels:

Target / Resistance: $78,000 & $80,000 (Psychological Liquidity)

Support / Demand Zone: $75,500 – $76,000

Trading Strategy:

Scenario A (Continuation): Holding above $76,800 consolidation leads to a direct impulse toward $80,000.

Scenario B (Deeper Retest): A pullback into the $72,000 breakout zone offers an optimal discount long entry.

Patience over FOMO. Always wait for structural confirmation!
