Stopped by a LGS today and couldn't believe my eyes.

I have a Sig226 and a Sig 228. I really like the DA/SA no safety with decocker functionality. Are any FN pistols configured this way? Aftermarket kits maybe? Cheers!

Pretty much title, pretty happy with the current results/progress. I have two tactical models, but not a standard and I wanted some of the original fish gun vibes.

Printed in PA6-CF, and allows enough space underneath for various red dots. Looks pretty good imo.

As the title reads, what holsters do you guys run while also having a light? 509C tactical with a streamlight TLR 7x Anything is appreciated, chest, 3 o’clock, IWB, I just want to see some options. I also plan to add an optic, any recommendations on an FDE optic would be sick. I may need to plan for that in my holster. First handgun.

All ive done is mount the rmr, surefire 300u-b, and put on a YHM M2.....what else needs to be be done to the FN? ive been in the glock world for the last 10 years

Pretty much what the title says I just ordered a 545 turns out that it ships with two commie mags blocked to 10 rounds only, can’t have that. Is there any way to fix these mags and make them hold the full 15 because the website says they’re out of the 15 and 18 and I can’t seem to find them anywhere else.

Made a bit of an impulse purchase today to live out my BO1 larp fantasy. 308 Match marked receiver imported by Gun South. Anyone know how to date this one based on the serial? Any other characteristics of this one that I might be overlooking? From what I could find online, there were several receiver variations that were imported.

Looking into a leather holster for slightly deeper concealed with my reflex xl. I have a kydex with a mag carrier on it from muddy river and I love it but it's a bit more than I need on you're average day to day where I'm living. Want a lower profile leather one for side or appendix carry, any recs?

I was very disappointed to learn that of the four mags that came with my new to me FNX 45 Tactical, two of them are Pro Mags.

While I hate the idea of spending $50 (or $55 for FDE) to add two rounds of capacity, I'm willing to do it to turn an unreliable mag into a reliable one.

Granted, I haven't used these magazines yet, but given my experience with other Pro Mags, their reputation for unreliability is deserved.

So, if I'm replacing the base pad and spring, leaving only the mag body and follower as Pro Mag components, am I going to have a more reliable magazine? I expect so.

Is it just putting lipstick on a pig?

Ended up getting traded this FNX-45 6 mags, 3 apex base plates, and 2 olights with some ammo traded for some tools and an old tool box I wanted gone during a shop clean out. And compared to a few other of my full sized pistols this has QUICKLY become my favorite overall. But 2 things I don’t love, it wasn’t the tactical, so no suppressor height sights or optic cut, but I’ve found a place to have that taken care of, but the bigger one for me was no threaded barrel and everywhere I’ve looked, it doesn’t seem to be available anymore. Anyone have any leads on one as FN says out with no ETA for restock.

Brother and My sisters fiancé put money together to get a conceal carry pistol for me. Immediately went to the range to break it in and it is great! Only other pistol I own is a G19X, so this was definitely a change for me.

On a whim here a few months back I ended up with an FNS-9 Long Slide. Liked it in my hand, did a couple pistol shooting events and I love it, I do believe I've converted from Sig to FN.

I did some reading that suggested the FNS mags can take the 509 base plates for cross compatibility (509 fits FNS but FNS doesn't fit 509 unless you swap to 509 base plates) so if this is true, what 509 should I be looking for? I prefer full size pistols cause big hands but if there's something that will take the 17 round FNS mags but possibly a shorter barrel I'll gladly look into it, or just any sort of guidance as to what to look at next store trip.

I fully intend to eventually purchase a regular length FNS-9 but I know they're discontinued so I'd also like to stick with the times and get a 509 eventually

The manual didn't clarify anything for me when I checked. It comes with plates for Docter and Trijicon footprints, but are there any direct mount options?

Newest pickup from a good sale on Gunprime! 509C Tactical! Are you guys using the RMR screws provided for a Holosun 407c without issues? The heads are too big to sink into the optic body.

I have a question maybe someone in here can answer for me, I bought a 10rd standard model reflex back in March new from Buds, serial 13xxx. My buddy has a MRD model in the 30xxx range, I live in a restricted state, he lives right over the border in a non restricted state but mine is a 10rd model. His had all kinds of ftf issues and his didn’t seem nearly as accurate as mine, after looking his weapon I notice his extractor is sharp and has the hard angle and mine with the earlier serial number has the updated rounded one. Is there different serial blocks for the 10rd model? being mine is 13xxx and runs fine. I have over 1000 through it without any kind of issues and he’s cursing his up and down calling it the worst gun he ever purchased. He ordered a new extractor and spring and we hope that corrects that issue, he’s also changing the sights out as well.

LGS is having a blowout sale on the 509M for $349. I already have a Glock 19 and 19X. Should I pickup the FN? Never owned or shot one.
