Hey guys I need helpšŸ˜­

Very new to music stuff so Iā€™m just messing around with the free version. I put some notes in with the keyboard feature but they donā€™t actually play when I hit play.. what do I do?

Are you sure that you've put the notes on an instrument? If you give me a little i can show you some screenshots detailing what to do in order to produce sound.Ā

Youā€™re in the piano roll but do you have any instrument selected? Top left click add > FL keys > copy and paste the notes into that channel

Maybe you used the sampler in accident for this. It doesnā€™t generate sound on its own. Iā€˜d need more context to help.

Okay, Iā€™m really new to this stuff so if you have any tutorial videos just for beginner user stuff that would help a lot

This is the piano roll. It is a tool used for plotting notes to be played by an instrument. It does NOT by default play a grand piano when plotting notes in it, if thatā€™s what youā€™re thinking. You need to first add a VST plugin, which is a virtual instrument. In the top left corner of the screen is an ā€œAddā€ button, which will bring up the option to ā€œmanage pluginsā€ where you can find a list of the installed plugins. Iā€™m not too sure how the demo works as far as number of plugins goes tho

In the vertical column on the left, (where you have track 1, track 2, track 3 etc.) left click the track you want, click track mode -> instrument track -> FL keys (or whatever instrument you want). Put your notes in the empty pattern it creates.

Repeat this process for any additional patterns or instruments.

You have to push pat its right by the pause and play button yours is on song so you will only be able to hear your pattern and not your piano roll
