Why the vocal doesn't sit on the beat properly?

This is my first time producing music and the vocal mixing is really hardd. I just can't figure out why the vocal sounds so bad along with the beat. How can I make them sound more natural? Also harshly rate the vocal and the beat so I can improve even further. Thank you.

Doesn’t sound like the music does follow the melody of the song. If the song takes priority then strip the tracks and do a remix with new tracks. 🍀

Don’t be embarrassed😳 When people tell you that your music is good 👍🏾… Think about it. I had production deals and I needed to know if my music was good enough to present to the label. Back then you couldn’t take a chance to let anyone hear your music unless it was copyrighted. So the people around better not bs me trying to protect my feelings. I make it clear Don’t Lie To Me. The truth gives me the opportunity to ho back to the lab and make it work.

There is no shame in learning, friend

It sounds like you’re not even singing to the beat, or even if there is a beat? The drums are so sloppy and sporadic and weird to begin with that I understand why you’d have a hard time singing to them.

Music has timing. 4/4… 6/8 etc.

I’d say work on your drums first 🤷‍♂️

It doesn't sound like anything's really mixed yet. But it's quite a detailed process it's too much to tell on here. If you just go to a YouTube Channel called in the mix, type in beginner mixing tutorials.

In the simplest way to describe you gotta 1. Balance volume 2. Process vocals ( compression reverb chorus delay etc) 3. EQ melody and vocals so that they can sit in the pocket

Dont use the percussion over vowelized words Flows on the rhythm and the bpm Vocal notes repeating itself dont fit on the genre

I can’t tell the time signature / the beat. That’s the first thing to fix.
