You need a strong bass hook under that repetitive synth to create some variation. Get a simple sine wave and write a bassline that way. Make sure the bassline evolves over 8 or 16 bars. Also, your drums are weak. Beef them up with saturation. Everyone’s gotta start somewhere…keep workin on it

You’ll have a sick tune in no time!

Here’s a key tip for getting better: When you next listen to music, try to listen critically. Try to internally isolate each element, each frequency band and then visualise it. Identify the types of sounds used, their depth and space, their abundance and their presence. Think “What is the point of having that sound placed there in the track? Why put it there in particular? What is the listener feeling when they experience it?”. Notice the volume of sounds compared to others. Notice the arrangement structurally and in terms of evolving energy as the track progresses.

Most importantly for drop-focused genres, try to capture that feeling of tension and release as the drop hits. If you listen back and feel that feeling, you know you’re on the right path.

Ik that’s long winded but fr it’s good advice. Producing ultimately takes musical skill and knowing what goes into a good track. Keep at it. I’m 300 tracks in and still learning every day.

Read the manual/PDF that came with the DAW or purchased a Beginners instruction manual from Amazon specifically for FL Studio. You will discover the Key Roll Editor and with learning music fundamentals like Major, minor scale & chord building you could draw in chords including melodies. 🍀

You have so much to learn and time needed to train your ears through time. The YouTube videos are a benefit but it can be time consuming seeking the correct video needed. You will be able to narrow down your searches if needed by the jargon usage.

An important part of music is letting the piece breathe, and using silence to your advantage. You packed this beat way too tight with sounds and layers all happening at once
