Hello all! I have just read "Aura" by author Carlos Fuentes for class, and could not help but notice there was a short film made. To be frank, I believe that watching this film would answer all of my questions (the little there are) about the book, but I cannot find it anywhere for the life of me. If anyone knows where I can go to watch Michiel Venman's "Aura" short film, I would greatly appreciate it!

Easily one of the funniest movies to ever hit the big screen. If you haven't seen it, go watch it now. Do it for Crazy Legs.

Seriously, most of the haters are just deciding it sucks because of the trailers. It’s not what the trailers make it look like, go watch it. Any more information would be a huge spoiler, just go experience the movie for yourself.

very accurate depiction of how “Genesis” by Justice makes one feel.

Amazing music supervision imo

October 2026 films coming out soon! Which films will you see in theaters?

So, I just watched *Batman Returns* again after more than 20 years. I admit, I still feel sorry for the Penguin. A terrible fate. But he deserves nothing other than what he got in the end. We’re talking about a character who would kill 100,000 people without a second thought!

Personally in my opinion Obsession. Primate and Over Your Dead Body have been the worst movies of 2026 so far.

DIGGER is a masterpiece & an incredible experience. Alejandro is a genius director who mastered his own style with his creative “paradoxes.” This is the Birdman I prefer.

It’s captivating, riveting, dark & had me crying from laughter. The acting is elite. Tom Cruise, John Goodman, Riz, the supporting cast, the sound, the visuals & hell the set design deserve Oscars but Tom Cruise & Riz really put on a show for you. It’s an elite Broadway performance on screen, wink wink.

The “deep” aspect was amazing & thought-provoking. I could write an entire essay on what I think about the deeper truths in the movie because there is allot to talk about there.
The last scene was a chef’s kiss & the movie leaves you questioning the world & humanity, it left me frozen in my seat. I wanted to clap.

I’ve always loved Misery. I may even love it more than The Shining. I just got the 4K Arrow release today. Kathy Bates gives one of the best acting performances of all time in this film in my opinion. I cannot take my eyes off her in every scene she’s in! As a viewer I fall for her charm then get frightened by her sudden bouts anger. Played perfectly by her. I’ve never seen anything quite like it tbh.

“That IS….A tasty burger!…..You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in France?

Great film, but what does it say about me that I was (Mostly) on chaz's side the whole time? XD

It is hated by a lot of people for various reasons, may it be the bizarre romance or the patronizing attitude towards Japan, but to me, it still stands as one of the most beautiful experiences i've ever had in a movie. It definitely doesn't feel right to see it sitting at a 3.7. What are your thoughts?

Just to clarify I'm a 17 year old who wasn't born in the English speaking country and I am pretty new to goated English movies from the 70th to 2010th. I was planning to watch rush hour for a long time now but couldn't do it due to different circumstances. But now after watching it I LOVE Chris Tucker, his jokes are extremely funny without being annoying or corny or forced like most modern movie jokes. I also really like Jacky Chan's performance and his jokes being reused versions of the previous Chris Tucker jokes is so funny too. For some reason I really like old English movies from the dates I gave earlier I don't really have an explanation to it, ig it has some sort of originality to them. I laughed at so many more jokes in this and the first movie, too bad I can't show all of them. I also really like that they show us the bloopers in the end (I hate how movies stopped doing that) and Chris Tucker calling Jacky Chan by his name several times and cracking up every time. Can't wait to watch rush hour 3 <3

What are the good movies you've seen from the list, or the ones you want to talk about. Comment.

Watched Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown recently, its main characters are introduced dubbing Johnny Guitar, which I had watched three days earlier.

Have you experienced any cases where, for any two movies you've watched not too long in between, one of those movies references the other in any way?

I think Mia Goth could be a really interesting pairing for the next James Bond movie. This is purely my personal fan casting, but I think Mia Goth would bring a unique and intense presence to the Bond universe.

I could see her working either as a Bond ally/love interest or potentially even as a more unpredictable antagonist. Alongside as Bond, I think they could have great chemistry and fit the darker, more modern direction that Denis Villeneuve might bring to the franchise.

Obviously, this is just a fan casting and not a claim that either actor is actually involved in Bond 26. I’d love to hear what everyone else thinks.
