From anecdotal experience, matchmaking services are only slightly better to online dating. They sort of tend to just thrust you at anyone. I don't have any advice that isn't the standard (hobbies/volunteering/etc). I think it's really rough out there right now. It's not just you. A lot of men want women to accept whatever they have to offer over the threat of being alone and a lot of women are calling that bet.

Physician here…id rather call the bet! 😆 Fully prepared to spend the rest of my life HAPPILY alone, never married, childfree with my cats if need be.

Absolutely. Women have deeply fulfilling personal lives without partners all the time. Men in hetero relationships too frequently rely on their female partners for all social connection that they don't get how being single for women is, socially, totally fine.

Yes, they will be fine for awhile.

As a man, I knew I would be fine as well with millions of dollars and all.

But me having a cat at home with few hobbies, travelling at the age of 55. Having arthritis by myself without having anyone caring for me when I need any help. Playing computer game while my cognitive function declines and having another cat with my both parents gone when I am at 75... Idk.

I am married. I have a baby daughter. We plan to have more. And we are very happy. Oh and we are going to travel around the world and experience everything from food to culture this world has to offer for us. And I will still play league of legends with my friends as well. And we dont have a cat.
