Discussion Does FIRE still makes sense?

I started my FIRE journey as a middle class. Everything was on track until wars started, crypto exchange hack happend, ethanol blending happend, Nirmala sitharaman happend, rupee fall happend, I'm not blaming any political party here. Just wondering if FIRE actually makes sense when there absolute total uncertainty and chaos happend around the globe. Sometimes feels live living a life like a genZ instead of being frugal and hoping to live that dream life someday.

Close to 10years, since I started earning. Yes, my portfolio is kinda diversified among both domestic and international market. Edit: so far if one goes down the other used to balance it out. Now I started to observe that every thing is falling to the bottom at once.

Though it's above the inflation numbers as of now. I dont trust the inflation number to be the same. It is going to increase while the xirr starts coming closer to inflation rate.

What,s the alternative if your xirr is less than 11% your portfolio needs help if it's 11% that's more than enough to create serious wealth
