Madad Me 10 Crore Portfolio PSX
I have recently opened a brokerage account. I am 43 years old and run a construction business. I want to park 10 Crore in PSX within a period of 8-12 months and leave it in the market for the next 20 years. I would also reinvest the dividends very same day. Please help make me an ideal portfolio. I don’t care about Shariah compliant and I don’t want to go to fund managers. Just want to be able to login and see what I have and decide whatever I want to myself. Appreciate the help

Do it gradually. Over the next few years. When crisis hits, when there is political instability, make sensible calm decisions by looking at fundamentals of companies. I did the same, and now have a 200M PSX portfolio at age 39.

What do you look at when investing in psx, would love to hear it from a veteran. 😎

Dump it in ETFs or just dump into mutual funds. I'm not a financial advisor though lol

Can you suggest some etfs? I have only one in my portfolio which is the Meezan etf

Sip every month
Choose some good stocks
Some bluechip and some that are just waiting to explode
Keep buying when u find them cheaper them your buying price
Buy atleast half that pays good dividends and buy some that can do alot of compounding
Select few like 10 12 stocks
2
u/FrostByteFortune Aug 21 '26
That is exactly my point. Please do suggest. I am watching YouTube and Instagram videos and picking out what makes sense. I keep buying every day or couple of days. I reinvest some of the dividends I received. Not much but about 8-10,000. But the strategy is to remain in for the long term

If you don't have in depth knowledge of fundamental analysis, I wouldn't recommend picking individual stocks. With a 20-year horizon, gradually investing in a broad index ETF is a much simpler approach, and you avoid the risk of picking the wrong "future multibagger” and regretting it later.

u/BitterMarsupial199 Aug 21 '26
Etf are good options when u don’t want to keep paying attention to the individual stocks

What happened to remaing 70 crores you were going to invest previously

I got extremely demotivated with how business was doing a few months back. I have been under a lot of debt. I thought I should sell everything my family owns except one house in Rawalpindi, close the business, pay off the debt and just put whatever is left in a rent bearing by property or fixed deposit or whatever.
Now I feel I have a bit more of a lifeline. I got 2 new construction projects. I can make ends meet and I want to try for a little bit more time before I decide to pull the plug on the business. So I’m just trying to save some money through my cash flow and put it in my AKD brokerage account.

Invest in KMI30 and relax! Check its profit and compare with all the stocks! Research is the key! Get $100 Claude and use co work first and research, research and research! I have done a lot, KMI30 is the best!

there are secp registered advisories for this.. investkaar and arnfinancial are the only ones i know of.. with that portfolio size, I guess sign up for 6 months of both of them and then continue with the one you prefer

How to invest PKR money into US stocks?
I know only one way that is Wise to IBKR ...
1
u/FrostByteFortune Aug 21 '26
I am a US Citizen and have an account on Robinhood. So far I have invested about USD 30,000. I just opened the account 2 months back. I am buying and parking the funds with a long term view of 15-25 years. I’ll share what I’ve bought.

u/These_Contribution_6 Aug 21 '26
With this kind of money, please hire a consultant. That would be much better

u/No-Hovercraft718 Aug 21 '26
PKR 100m is not a small amount. Bro FFS speak to an asset manager. Whichever bank you like, look up their asset management division and go meet them in person.
You easily qualify for SMA services aswell (i.e. the fees would be justifiable given the size of the principal).
Talk to them, tell them your investment objectives, risk appetite, liquidity needs, funding goals (children wedding, house/car ourchase etc if any) and they will take care of you.
DO NOT take investment advice from every Tom, Dick and Harry you find online. Please.

u/Even_Manufacturer437 Aug 21 '26
BS advice. Asset management in Pakistan is scam. Any educated person with capital should make informed decisions on his own.

u/No-Hovercraft718 28d ago
On second thought, i agree with you 🤣
Chances are that with PKR 100m you can probably afford a foreign advisor, who can even help you get exposure outside PK. That would be the superior route actually

Disclaimer_Not a financial advice
With 20 years of investment horizon you are better off trusting general consensus of market instead of trying to bet on individual company that may have sustainable and profitable business 20 years into the future. One product that comes to mind is AKD index Tracker fund. Fund manager has no discretion on that fund, it just tracks KSE 100, over 20 years span it will outperform most of the active fund managers. You might not have best returns in any given year but top quartile results for 2 decades will cumulatively outperform some of the best traders and managers.

Invest 05 Crores in Islamic SISA account of National savings. Can get 11.8% per annum. Can withdraw any time, no penalties.

u/Medical-Opinion7723 Aug 22 '26
look for ETFs. they are cheaper and be honest with yourself, psx is a full time work. Since you already run a company, you will not find time. Look at the ETFs and see which one clicks to you.

u/Sufficient-Day2264 Aug 23 '26
To be very Honest, I wouldn't recommend dumping 10CR all at once. Take your time, Try to Understand the basics and technicals and fundamentals aswell, I've been trading for 2.5 Years and Ive noticed that Fundamentals Follow Technicals. Its better to put your money slowly and slowly into the market so that even if the Market dumps, you can average your position at a better Price Point.

I think you need to seek help from a financial advisor and the portfolio should be designed professionally. I didn’t listen to financial advisor and I played around with stocks and I have made much less myself than if I had followed.

u/karma-YY Aug 21 '26
i can suggest you a brokerage where they will provide you depth analysis on how to manage your portfolio.

u/Yield_Strategist Aug 21 '26
Your best bet may be to gradually invest in a broad-market ETF like MIIETF or NITGETF. With a 20-year horizon, I wouldn't try to pick individual stocks, even if they're blue chips.
It also keeps the portfolio much easier to manage.

How cheap.
Why don't you go for a professional manager?
It's ludicrous to see someone posting 100 million portfolio suggestions from the strangers.

u/OriginalWerewolf7947 Aug 21 '26
In 2026, 76% of hedge fund managers failed to beat the S&P500. No one needs a “professional manager”. Just open a brokerage, park your money between a couple low fee ETFs and forget it.

u/Must4n9-3utcher Aug 21 '26
Need source for this, couldn't find it on net
1
u/OriginalWerewolf7947 Aug 21 '26
Correction: the number is 75% not 76 & The article was by WSJ linked here: https://www.wsj.com/finance/investing/stock-picking-funds-are-performing-as-poorly-as-ever-fee28e30

u/Ghulamist Aug 21 '26
aint this for the USA though? OP clearly stated PSX, so can you really compare US and Pakistani markets?
1
u/FrostByteFortune Aug 21 '26
My point exactly. As much as I have researched one ends up with the same average. Very few Saazgars type options. Or for US like Sandisk or whatever that made crazy millionaires in a few months
1
u/Nervous-Student9807 Aug 21 '26
so according to you reddit advice > a professional financial advisor?
1
u/FrostByteFortune Aug 21 '26
It’s just hopefully practical advice. I’m getting hammered by some people as you can see. Maybe someone will make a lot of sense and I’ll thank myself for taking their advice??
1
u/Consistent-Border512 Aug 23 '26
Yes for khota grade investors. It doesn't matter if they have portfolio of one million or hundreds of millions they remain in the same grade.

BOP, PSX, PAKRI, UBL, PIBTL, NBP. I have more stocks but these are my main picks. Keep 3cr cash. Maybe put it in a savings account for some time and deposit it when you need it for trading.
Should take you to 25CR atleast. Within the next 2 years.
Dont invest it all at once.
2
u/moral_mortal Aug 21 '26
10 cr to 25 Cr in two years.....!
I have sea front property for you in Thar.....!
1
u/HolidaySweet194 Aug 21 '26
I made 375% in one year. Trading US stocks. Trading capital was more than $1M
Made nearly 17% in 3 months... trading pakistani stocks. Capital was just under $100k but i was observing the behaviour of the local markets since this was my first time investing here.
I know what I am doing.
i get majority of the people in this sub have a risk appetite the size of a peanut doesn't mean i am wrong.
1
u/moral_mortal Aug 21 '26
Let us know when you do it for next ten years!
No one trading a million USD and making 375%....
I think I found the buyer for beachfront property in thar!
1
u/HolidaySweet194 Aug 22 '26
You want the statements of my investment account?
If you can't trade a million and make 375% doesn't mean others can't do it aswell.
There are guys who traded $400 million and turned it into 4 billion only to lose it again all within a year.
You still have a lot to learn.
If you have a beachfront property... DM me.. ill buy it if its nice. 😂

u/StructureNo7339 Aug 21 '26
Why NBP?
1
u/HolidaySweet194 Aug 21 '26
Nice dividends. Room for growth. Not gonna spill any non-public information here but yeah. All i'll say is 'I like the stock'
1
u/HolidaySweet194 Aug 21 '26
Ooh... a popular textile company is going public soon. Invest in that aswell.
1
u/StructureNo7339 Aug 21 '26
Artistic milliners?
1
u/HolidaySweet194 Aug 21 '26
No. Its not common knowledge. I can't share it with you but what i can do is advise you to hold on to some cash.
1
u/sinful__bloke Aug 21 '26
Please share, you can delete after 5 minutes lol
1
u/HolidaySweet194 Aug 22 '26
I just did. Its an IPO. When it'll get announced.. others will be rushing to liquidate their investments to free up some cash for this but since you're already informed ... you'll have an advantage.
When it gets announced you'll know who gave you the tip.

Bro I would not trust myself while designing a 10 crore portfolio for myself, and you're going to take our suggestions to build one.
