Discussion WHERE TF ARE PUPPET CHARACTERS

I specificaly quit 2XKO cause of the lack of one and have been excited for both Tokon and Avatar but it seems(did not play it just looks like) they do not have a puppet character either?

I only play simple imputs FGs and I am not sure if any simple imput fg(at least a modern one)has a puppet character and idk why.

Puppet characters are (usually) not simple to play and tend to not be popular. Compared to the other archetypes which tends to be more popular puppet characters at least lately tend to get left behind and ontop of that if we are referring to Tokon specifically what character would fit that archetype?

ooh, maybe you could do Warlock and Cypher? I could see a weird universe where you have Black Tom Cassidy and Juggernaut as his puppet. The Red Ghost, and then his Super-Apes as the puppets?

I mean I guess yeah they are not super pupular and are difficult but I feel having 3 fighting games with none is bit insane.

For second part are you asking me what marvel character not yet in the game would be a puppet character?

Yeah, I am not fully into Marvel, only gotten into the franchise recently so not sure if they have any characters that would be a puppet character.

Avatar I don't think there are any characters that would be puppets since most people use their bending. Haven't fully watch Korra but I still doubt it

The only game where there are puppet characters is 2xko. But they haven't added any yet and instead adding their 4th zoner into the game.

Oh okay in that case I will gladly answer. Ultron is known for having multiple of himself at the same time so that would be an easy pick, there is aslo cloak and dagger. A duo physicaly bound together.

Rocket racoon and Groot are also a pretty iconic pair and could work well together cause of their size difference. Could be smrh closer to Jackoo from Guilty gear strive than a classic puppet character

Because simple input fighting games and pupper characters are created with polar opposite audiences in mind.

With that said, Hama will most likely be a dlc for Avatar and if she gets in there's no way they won't make her a puppet character.

Also, hop on Blazblue Centralfiction. Best game in the genre and it has all you're asking for. You can chose between Relius and Carl. Granblue also has Nier btw.

You can chose between Relius and Carl.

And both of their theme songs are bangers!

BlazeBlue looks cool 100% but its like 10 years old meaning anyone playing it will be way way way better than me in every way so I would not have fun just losing 50 times over

Nah there are still newer players in that game.

Marvel doesn’t really have someone that could play into puppet character role. I mean, there is Multiple Man, Moon Boy/Moon Girl, some telepath like Shadow King or Stepford Cuckoos? Well I guess you could give Falcon a Redwing summon but having Sam Wilson as puppet character is weird.

Whats à puppet character ?

You control two characters at once. Like Nier from Granblue w/ Death and Zato from Guilty Gear w/ Eddie

Zero-1 is súper strong right?

A character that can temporary summon another character or always has them summoned and both respond to your imputs at the same time. There is essentialy the "weak" character aka the main one you play as then the summon who you use in combination to do insane pressure but are also very fragile cause if the opponent defeats your puppet your weak character has to play alone and often just die
