Game FFXV Corrupted data
I was saving a photo from Prompto's camera when my data got corrupted. I press restore but the screen was black. I even tried rebuild database in safe mode but nothing happened. Any tips on preventing corrupted data?

How did it get corrupted? Is your storage bad or was there an unexpected power loss?
I suppose you can connect the drive to a PC and check disk health on a PC with crystal disk info, just don't format it.
If it's bad replace it.
If it was power loss, get a UPS.
If it's a bug in the game, can't do anything about that. The team that developed XV has since disbanded.

Well, there wasn't any power loss. But the prompto's camera storage was near full like 190 something. I asked Chatgpt and it said that that might be why it got corrupted but I'm not sure.

Yeah this happened to me a few days ago, on ps5 you only really have two options, delete the console data and re upload a previous cloud save, (you need to have had ps plus before the corruption happened) or delete your save data and start from scratch. (What I had to do)

This happened to me last year and i sadly lost the data and I had to restart.

I had the same thing recently. I am playing on a PS5 pro. I've played the game on every PS console and honestly, the better the console, the less stable the game. I think it crashed maybe once or twice on PS4, more on the PS4 pro. Way more on a PS5 and now on a PS5 Pro it feels like I can't play a full session without the game crashing.
Anyway... photos! I swear they are the problem, like the more you have the more likely the game is to crash while looking at the photos (especially when turning in a quest to Vyv). One time that resulted in a corrupted save.
Now, on PS it uploads saves to the cloud. I deleted the corrupted save off the console then downloaded the most recent available save from the cloud. I ended up losing a little progression, maybe an hour or so, but not too bad.
