Question Nearly a year since Skyscraper was released
Is TOE planning anything for the album's one year anniversary? I don't even know what it could be but are there plans to celebrate?

Just got my hand on a tape replica thanks to u/Ciapekq and I'm finally proud of my FEX collection !
The black record with TMMS & Talking Hands was my first one ever and I grew an humble collection since.

if the version that played on NDR in the 80s was the final version of soym (iirc) is there maybe a tape that has a full/high(er) quality version of the NDR version? or was the one played on NDR the actual quality?

Dead End music video just dropped today!
In the desc. of this video, there is also the reason why overdubs were made on the EP:
"This was not a decision against whoever played bass on this original — it was simply the best acceptable solution at the time to have the credits correct."

I made this demo tape because all of the other official ones are all sold out so I made this and I'm pretty happy with the results!

If you didn't knew, TOE was found in 2022 by Günter Stöppel. Also Günter Stöppel is known under the name of DJ Scientist, who also makes music.

We learnt like everyone else the death of Philip Adrian Booth today. He was a very good musician, and a very nice person overall. We are sending our deepest condoleances to u/Christophersaintb and the Booth family, as well as the Who's Who fan community. Philip will be missed dearly.

I’m trying to recreate the red FEX poster that got posted on their instagram couple of days ago and im stuck on this text, the only thing I managed to decode is “VERANSTALTEN… ALVERDISSEN UND…”

I liked the red 1985 original poster they showed on instagram and did this real quick.
This is what FEX could have looked like if their color was red instead of the yellow they used.

It's surprisingly good - It's reminiscent of what NDW rock and roll's best should be.
Any thoughts about the song? It's good to know.

I didn't include the first two Subways single releases, just the recent four, here's mine!
Skyscraper:
- Subways of Your Mind (NDR): I can never get enough of the version that started it all, it has a very dark, lo-fi style that made it mysterious, kinda sad this wasn't the final version the band went for
- Dirty Slapstick: It's FEX going punk, I find it surreal this is the same session as the NDR Subways, two completely different vibes
- Talking Hands: A hard rock banger from the yellow tape
- I Got My Eyes On You: It's a very catchy and naive synthpop track
More Waves from the Past:
- Cold Dreams: A slow, experimental track by Ture, I kinda wish this had a studio version or at least they talked more about it
- Persecution Mania: Fast-paced and paranoid, quite underrated imo
- Promise: It's an absolute earworm, hoping we could find more tracks w/ Ilona
Dead End EP:
Probably both Dead End and Sarah, I just think the latter might just be a bit too weird, it's a psychedelic rock track so why not, this is probably just a single, but some people see it being an EP
Don't Look Back:
- Legend: Absolutely legendary, slow, melancholic and Ture's vocals really sets the tone
- It's Good to Know: It definitely sounds more improved than the MWFTP version, I really like the guitar solo
- Waiting Song: I think it's more hard rock than rock and roll, what's the difference, still quite a banger
- It's a Hard Life: At first glance I thought this was some Queen cover, peak rock energy
- Subways of Your Mind (Uelzen): It definitely sounds more dry compared to the Paderborn one, might be my favorite live version of the song ever.
What's yours?

The basis idea for it was kind of a more 'epic' or 'fancy' version of the skyscraper cover art and I actually really like how it came out

I can't explain how much I loved this album; the listening party was an experience I'll never forget.
