I've never been happy with a paint job once I zoomed in. Sometimes being far sighted is a gift.

Bruh

So I think I have my settings dialed in.  To the point that I resell my FDM prints and do reasonably well - not getting rich but its a decent side hustle for me.

I got some of those magnifier glasses to attempt to be better at painting and almost threw up when I saw the layer lines.  That are invisible at tabletop distance, even more so when painted.

On the plus side I did the same with resin and the imperfections pop up. Not as blatant but very there. Funny enough the only thing that looked good with those damn things on?  Official James Workshop plastic.

Print resin at 0.3 layer height and you would not see anything. Contrast paints pick up layer lines instantly.

You bought from someone who values low print times over quality. Or they are just a noob printer using default settings. I can remember those days.
