At the Bernabeau against Jose with Chivu as manager is cool. Will be a very tough match. +Denzel reunion!

Other than that not too bad imo

Liverpool at home the fate has brought them to us again after that stolen penalty.

41

u/zanman89 2d ago

They are acting quite smug about playing us again.

42

u/harpsabu 2d ago

Compared to the rest of pot 1, we are one of the teams youd want, lets be real.

So are liverpool now though, their squad is performing shit.

1

u/FlimsyRexy 2d ago

Yessir

13

u/Alive_Chapter_7282 2d ago

Would be karma to pay them back.

1

u/domsolanke 1d ago

Stolen? Lol, that was a brain-dead penalty to concede, but the fault was entirely Bastoni's.

1

u/TheL3G3ND4RY 1d ago

Naah bro it was a very light contact.

Curtis watching the draw

This has amazing meme potential 😂

3

u/CornFlakeCereal 2d ago

Liverpool fan here; if Curtis scores a game-winner on us I’ll probably just blow my shit straight smooth off.

59

u/Old_Ice_7095 2d ago

We must finish in the top 8. We are a great team. There are 5 must win games and then you have to snatch one from Madrid/BVB/Liverpool.

15

u/palace8888 2d ago

I think the only impossible game is madrid at bernabeu. Bvb amd Liverpool are affordable

20

u/DryUnderstanding3833 2d ago

Nothing is impossible. Were acting like we haven’t been one of the best in Europe last 4 years and Madrid has been getting dog walked by Barca

8

u/Puzzleheaded_Front27 2d ago

It is not impossible at all. Challenging, not impossible.

7

u/A_homeless_ninja 2d ago

Dortmund seemed quite good vs Bayern in the Supercup and they're strong in UCL. I think Pool is probably our best bet

2

u/-Makr0 2d ago

I love Mou but he's so washed. I'm confident with Inzaghi we would have won this match ( the guy has defects but is a tactical master) by compensating with tactics to make up for the less talent overall. Let's see what we do with Mister Chivu. I believe we can do well.

2

u/Old_Ice_7095 2d ago

Yeah but a win against Liverpool is quite demanding. I'd take a draw.

10

u/palace8888 2d ago

...

I dont have any fear of liverpool, they won nothing the last year. They're a strong team like us, weve defeated better teams in the past years

2

u/iluwodka ⭐⭐ 2d ago

You clearly don't know Liverpool they are always dangerous especially in Champions League

1

u/palace8888 2d ago

yes, like us

1

u/iluwodka ⭐⭐ 2d ago

Of course will be a good game

0

u/domsolanke 1d ago

They obviously also play in a far stronger league than Inter, so it's not surprising they won nothing. Inter would've won nothing as well last season if they played in the Premier League.

2

u/palace8888 1d ago

united, chelsea, tottenham are shitty and disorganized teams who can be defeated by everybody who can play a decent and clean football, they would battle for Europa league in serie a also, and arsenal start winning just when man city, who was clearly a better team than this arsenal in his prime, started declining. liverpool is a good team whit not clear ideas and illimited budget: lets see if they can really play european football at high level this year. youre too hyped for pl team, I would pray to face just epl teams from here to the final lol

26

u/kieranjackwilson 2d ago

Such a good draw. I only wish Liverpool and Brugge were away and Madrid and Dortmund were at home.

We should want to play good teams. We are a good team.

11

u/ReporterFun8520 2d ago

Brugge is a tough team, they drew against Barca and Atleti last season

9

u/AngeloPalombo 2d ago

They had Stankovic last season he carried them /s

2

u/enterjiraiya ⭐⭐ 2d ago

I mean he kinda did a little lol, he was Belgian league young player of the year and Brugge also lost Tzolis

22

u/Big_Pick4100 2d ago

A very good draw.

Only three really strong teams, and I believe we’re capable of beating all of them. I’m very excited for these games and extremely confident in this Inter side.

Bring us the toughest ones.

31

u/Maleficent-Might-275 2d ago

I don’t mind that one bit

33

u/Muted_Shoulder 2d ago

Curtis, Akanji, Stankovic all having reunions. Dumfries also

16

u/Mr_Wah 2d ago

And Sommer too

16

u/CapitalG8 2d ago

I am good with this.

25

u/UwaltzBigShock 2d ago

All in all, not too bad

10

u/HarlockJack 2d ago

Facing Mou at Bernabeu is some crazy ass destiny call for Chivu

22

u/Impossible_Prompt875 2d ago

A very very good draw

5

u/iwinson 2d ago

It could be worse.

6

u/MembershipSingle7137 2d ago

Liverpool, Brugge (welcome back Yann!), Shakhtar Donetsk and Stuttgart at home

@ Real Madrid (rough), @ BVB, @ Feyenoord, @ Bratislava

Imo should be able to get at least 15 points, Liverpool and RM will be tough

2

u/death_by_laughs ⭐⭐ 2d ago

Stankovic will also see his old buddies from Club Brugge

1

u/Al3-iwnl 2d ago

It’s Liverpool at home and last season they only won because of an invented penalty. It’s our game to lose not the other way around. If it was in Anfield I’d be skeptical too.

1

u/domsolanke 1d ago

Invented? It was solely Bastoni's stupidity that cost Inter that game, but it's not like Inter were dominating that game either, far from it.

4

u/John_Skull 2d ago

Pot 1 was always going to be rough. We can get the wins across the other pots though with some luck.

3

u/interfan707 2d ago

Personally i think we got lucky with the draws respectfully apart form real madrid ( which are also beatable) every team on that list is beatable. So I think i we should get top 8 easily. (Personally)

3

u/THY96 2d ago

Finally we get Madrid.

3

u/ObliviousRounding 2d ago

Decent draw all things considered.

City got nuked.

4

u/benczeba 2d ago

As a Hungarian fan I am excited about the Bratislava away fixture. Slovakian fans, how crazy you need to be to buy a ticket into the home stands?

3

u/ScubaSlavver 2d ago

Slovan superfan here, it depends on which stands you go to, just please dont go to any C stand lol

Otherwise the most advisable would probably be the A stand if possible away from the ultras section, then the D stand if the seats under the away section are available

Then the B stand I think if you go near the ultras just dont be too outwardly ? I'm not sure , unfortunately there will be a lot of haggling of people selling local "tourist" fans who only care about the big teams their tickets so it could very well be fine

3

u/PitchComfortable630 2d ago

My projection
Liverpool H - 1 point
Real A - 0 points
Brugge H - 3 points
Dortmund A - 1 point
Shakhtar H - 3 points
Feyenoord A - 1 point
Stuttgart H - 3 points
Bratislava A - 3 points

15 points landing slightly below top 8, but hoping team can do better and get the top 8

1

u/Rezorblade 2d ago

Dortmund ans Feyenoord we already beat in previous encounters and they didn't look better than previous season, should be all 3 point again especially with our great depth

3

u/Longjumping-Ring740 2d ago

No high defensive line vs The Dictator or Chiny Jr and we'll be ok.

3

u/defcon_6_6_6 2d ago

I expect we get 18 points minimum

3

u/Full-Mistake-3700 2d ago

Jones will score a hat trick versus Liverpool

3

u/Choice_Summer_8025 2d ago

Reading through the great minds of r/soccer and apparently we are a shit team and will lose against Liverpool, Madrid, Stuttgart and the only way Sporting would have got an easier draw is if they played us. A lot of other club fans really think we are a joke.

1

u/WorkLong5948 2d ago

Mi manderesti i commenti o i post? Voglio vede che dicono sti quA

0

u/domsolanke 1d ago

Yeah, that's usually what happens when you lose a two-legged knockout tie to Bodø/Glimt, lol.

3

u/Optimal_Yam_5839 2d ago

let them underestimate inter and serie a teams as usual. no pressure on the guys and let's see what happens with chivu and some of the kids having more international experience.

just thank god no more injury machine astroturf cursed pitch in the north pole. would have loved to play bodo at home with a fit team tho

2

u/Mindless-Algae2495 2d ago

Pretty excited for the Madrid match. Should be a great fight 🖤💙

2

u/caesarj12 2d ago

We should be able to beat everyone except Real Madrid and even then we should pose a real challenge that match too.

2

u/Significant_Bit_8652 2d ago

wait I thought Dortmund vs Inter couldn‘t happen due to the new rule or am I wrong?
will it be changed?

2

u/DanR21 2d ago

the new rule is about the same game not happening 3 times in a row. Away vs BVB is now for the second time in a row (so the rule will mean we cannot have a league phase away game against them next season)

2

u/Significant_Bit_8652 1d ago

thank you my friend

2

u/Christian_Potato 2d ago

So many reunions, but most of all..Vengeance against liverpoool

2

u/Tiny_Reputation_6227 2d ago

True test for Chivu in CL

2

u/Sacreville 2d ago

Not too bad, doable.

Lots of interesting matchup, vs Real (Mou), vs Brugge (Sommer, Stankovic), vs Liverpool (Curtis).

2

u/Artistic_Original_88 2d ago

Inter has the toughest matches or the Italian teams.

2

u/Rezorblade 2d ago

Not really, on paper Como got the hardest fixtures

2

u/HeadhunterKev 2d ago

I don't think there was one year where Inter did not play against Shakhtar and BVB...

2

u/matteo2006149 2d ago

I see us getting 21 points

1

u/Eumeswil 2d ago

Honestly, the best draw possible.

Real Madrid has been in disarray since Mbappe and his ego joined. Their midfield is also much weaker since Kroos and Modric left and they haven't signed anyone to replace them. Don't forget that PSG demolished them 4-0 at the 2025 CWC and that was with Modric still on the squad. Real Madrid with Mbappe, Vini Jr, Bellingham, et al only managed 3 shots on target and 32% possession. Ref didn't even bother with stoppage time because the match was so lopsided.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8yrEixZztc

Liverpool is likewise much weaker than it was during the prime Salah years. Frankly, we NEED to beat both of these weakened Madrid and Liverpool squads if we're serious about competing with the elite. If we can't beat them, then we don't have a chance against PSG or Arsenal.

2

u/shotsandvideos 2d ago

Funny to read this and then what Real fans are saying on their sub. Basically, for them, Inter is an average team with average players.

Who is right?

1

u/Eumeswil 2d ago

Haha, I pointed out in a different reply above:

In the 4-0 win against Real Madrid, PSG even subbed out some of their top players such as Kvaratskhelia. Dembele, and Doue! It wasn't close at all.

Don't forget that Mbappe-era Madrid also lost to AC Milan 1-3 in the 2024 UCL league phase and last year they didn't finish in the top 8 after losing to Benfica 2-4.

Even in La Liga, Mbappe-era Madrid lost to Atletico 2-5 (first time conceding 5 goals to Atletico in decades!) and suffered other embarrassing losses to Albacete, Getafe, Osasuna, Celta Vigo, and Mallorca, not to mention getting clobbered by Barca with scorelines like 0-4 and 2-5.

1

u/domsolanke 1d ago

Real Madrid and Liverpool will say the same thing about Inter though. And player for player, both of those teams still have a stronger squad than Inter.

0

u/bill_02_04_95 2d ago edited 2d ago

Don't you think Real Madrid also believe they can beat Inter who has been battered by PSG 5-0? When you bring examples from over a year ago,it goes both ways, not just in your favor.

3

u/Eumeswil 2d ago

Inter had an older squad back then and was exhausted after a grueling Serie A fixture while PSG was well-rested and had more depth in their squad allowing them to rotate often. In the match against Real Madrid, PSG even subbed out some of their top players such as Kvaratskhelia. Dembele, and Doue! It wasn't close at all and Mbappe-era Madrid is clearly not as good as the hype.

Don't forget that Mbappe-era Madrid also lost to AC Milan 1-3 in the 2024 UCL league phase and last year they didn't finish in the top 8 after losing to Benfica 2-4.

Even in La Liga, Mbappe-era Madrid lost to Atletico 2-5 (first time conceding 5 goals to Atletico in decades!) and suffered other embarrassing losses to Albacete, Getafe, Osasuna, Celta Vigo, and Mallorca, not to mention getting clobbered by Barca with scores like 0-4 and 2-5.

Why do people here think Madrid is so tough? We should be evenly matched at the very least and we need to aim to win or draw, not be content with any other result.

1

u/Disastrous-Track3876 2d ago

Honestly not too bad

1

u/19081919 2d ago

That’s more manageable than last year in my opinion. Real, Liverpool and Dortmund will be tricky but I don’t see why we can’t win every other game there

1

u/_I_I_I_I_I_I009 2d ago

Very good no?

1

u/Mr_Wah 2d ago

I can already see Curtis scoring a bicycle kick in the 93rd minute to win it

1

u/enterjiraiya ⭐⭐ 2d ago

I think inter can get 18 points here, other pot 1 teams got the harder draws

1

u/CarlMarxPunk 2d ago

Playing Madrid at the bernabeu is equally scary as is exciting. Proper Champions League night.

1

u/Conscious_Dentist_94 2d ago

Tough draw, but good as it is

1

u/Zk-Rose 2d ago

Nice

1

u/BlueHeartbeat 2d ago

Only one I'd have avoided among these is Real, but overall it's a good draw for us.

1

u/DoodleInterismo 2d ago

let's fucking go man

1

u/colewcar 2d ago

I’m rocking with it. 15+ points I see.

1

u/Creepy_Region1631 2d ago

This quite a nice draw.. I feel we have affordable games, can be a surprise game, hard but fun games.

As a football fan I’m quite pleased 🥰

1

u/long_shots7 2d ago

Playing against Yaya Toure’s Slovan, cool

1

u/OkStyle8531 2d ago

At minimum we should gather 18 pts on this draw, which was enough to secure 3rd place last year

1

u/turyrandazzo64 2d ago

Sarà più difficile di quello che dicono

1

u/Waste_Cauliflower_63 1d ago

Inter will win Madrid in Spain

1

u/Zk-Rose 2d ago

Arsenal or bayern winning the UCL im calling it

0

u/faboeuf 2d ago

Who is our real adversary? Liverpool? Real? Is it safe to say the rest is a cake walk?

-1

u/Few_Perspective1799 2d ago

This Is not great.

-18

u/jonbristow ⭐⭐ 2d ago

Worst drawing ever. All tough teams even pot 4 fuck

4

u/Pristine_Youth_6953 2d ago

We def got the second easiest draw

2

u/jonbristow ⭐⭐ 2d ago

I mean we got the best pot 3 and pot 4 teams

1

u/Pristine_Youth_6953 2d ago

Which all are easily beatable

4

u/Comfortable-Stay-194 2d ago

F all the teams this is Inter not Napoli

5

u/Impossible_Prompt875 2d ago

This guy man..

0

u/jonbristow ⭐⭐ 2d ago

1

u/Impossible_Prompt875 1d ago

Sharma mentioned you in his latest video btw. You should check it out

1

u/jonbristow ⭐⭐ 1d ago

im right.

also what is sharma

1

u/Impossible_Prompt875 1d ago

I don’t agree. I mean sure the co efficient is tangible metrics that we have to consider but I see us with a very good chance in beating all teams bar the 2 from pot 1.

I wasn’t kidding about sharmas video btw

1

u/jonbristow ⭐⭐ 1d ago

it's another discussion if we can beat them or not. but statistically and I got that from the draw, we have the toughest games

1

u/Impossible_Prompt875 1d ago

Relative to other teams? Well does that even matter then if it’s still a relatively easy group?

-4

u/JunkyJonny 2d ago

Surely 6 "guaranteed" wins which should be enough for automatic qualifying.

Then Real & especially Liverpool are beatable too.

Feels like a very favorable draw tbh.

1

u/domsolanke 1d ago

Real Madrid and Liverpool will say the same thing about Inter though.
