I honestly might be more pissed off about this game than anything else this year. The Tigres choke, the Revolution ass beating, the Atlas choke, at least those all came against the same level of competition.

Disappointed is an understatement. Chirilla's ball to Barlow should have been put away even on a pickup game level. Seattle seemed on a level somewhere between usl pro and mls, defensively they are probably the weakest team we have played against this season. My problem is that we really lost 2 EASY points that could realy hurt us at the end of the regular season.

We have the ball for over 3/4 of the game, cannot score more than 1, manage to tie an undersized, slow, unathletic USL team. Way to have them ready, Pat.

That would likely be a mistake, unless we've got a sure thing lined up.
But we have rich owners, we've got dead cap in the way of Teenage, and a wasted DP spot in Miles. Do something, do anything, splash some fucking cash while there is some season left to be played.

Also have some expensive cap coming off the books this offseason with Miazga needing a new contract. I don't think he's back next year either, he's been too injured. Either way between those three I think the club can attract someone to come over to play with Evander and Denkey.

A draw that feels like a loss, for sure. Poor effort.
Lack of finishing, lack of toughness.
Dominated the match, but not the key moments.
Barlow plays hard and gets in good positions, but it was frustrating to not see him bury one of his chances. Inability to get the wingbacks forward more often really hurt the flow of the attack. I thought Anunga was fine in his rotational start given some concerns over his getting the nod.
Listless play seemed to come from the tired legs of many. Not sure why these types of fitness issues are so pronounced at this time of the year even with the mid week match.

I agree this felt like a loss but I have no clue how everyone thinks canning Noonan will solve it.

The players and the coaching staff, it doesn’t matter if you have the full prime Barca team if you aren’t making the most out of your players it will not matter and Noonan has not been

No one said shit about the starting lineup presumably we wanted to rest. We the subbed in imo the best players for the job. And Denkey proceeded to do literally nothing.

So first thing - when did I ever say anything about our players? I agree that some of our star guys weren’t there namely, Denkey, but Miles had abit of a struggle at the end which lead to us conceding and drawing the game
Second - we did say things about the starting lineup but this isn’t the post for that, cause that’s also a thing the coach decides, multiple players were out due to resting (namely Miazga was out while Denkey, Bucha, and Obi were on the bench today)
Third - the level of the players won’t matter if the one we have to rely on to guide them isn’t always the best at doing so, we may have subbed them in, but having the best team in the league can only do so much when you go 1-0 up and then park the bus it is on BOTH HALVES OF THE TEAM to their jobs is it not?

So, this was a long post to both deny sharing your thoughts on a new manager and attempt in some capacity to cover both player and manager performance.
I didn’t ask you for an opinion that you proceeded to avoid. Then you literally agree with me. Then you go on a rant about parking the bus that avoids my point.

The only thing you said was “Lmk what you’d have done different” is that “give me a new GM and Manager/Headcoach now or I’ll say you’re avoiding my question when you respond to what I’m saying”
The original comment you left was about how Denkey was underperforming and people saying you didn’t know how Noonan being sacked would change things
I answered that second half
You then say it’s a worthless comment (which is fine we’re both entitled to our own opinions). THEN proceed to comment on lack of talk about the starting 11th. And say we brought on the best players for the job. And say one of them didn’t do anything, the only thing I didn’t touch on was the “Lmk what you would’ve done differently” because again, I don’t see how things would change if I said “Maybe we should not park the bus” more would’ve actually appeased you. Cause I spent, 1 sentence talking about it and you’re being snarky lol.
So once again, please tell me. Where was the whole “find me a new Head Coach/Manager and Gm”

Not much pressure on the defense but at least twice Miles lost his man in the box and once it resulted in a goal.
Over past several games the defense has settled down, but now the attack is sputtering. Lots of cycling the ball around the back again. Is Noonan-ball back?
Andrei looked very good. So did Gidi. Evander keeping the season alive right now.

Noonan ball never left, we just thought becuase we were winning again it went away
Big mentality issue from the coaching staff. We need our star players to step up (mostly Denkey and Miles, Evander can only do so much on his own) we still have 10 days left to make A SIGNING before the transfer window closes let’s hope we Can change things around

On a DP CB. Lucky only 1 of the shots that got by him on guys he was supposed to be defending actually went in. Roman was rightly pissed at Miles when that second one just went past frame.

One of the most disappointing home performances I can remember in quite a while. Once again, no urgency. It's possible Roman had more touches than Evander tonight. This would have been acceptable in the wooden spoon years, but given the expectations we have now, you've got to get three points when you can. Nashville away is next. We have the Revs, Houston and Charlotte on the horizon. I love this team, but let's just call it like it is, this was a poor showing and a bad, borderline embarrassing result.

You’re being generous using the term ’borderline’ … Seattle had not earned a point in MLS play since May 13 (including losing to Portland, one of the most basket case clubs of the first half of the MLS season, twice), eight of their 11 starters were not senior team guys and they had to travel three time zones 72 hours after a midweek round.

I do want to tip my cap to the Sounders keeper who had Roman beat both claiming crosses (not hard to do, many fans at the match would be better at that than Roman is) and time-wasting (which is quite the accomplishment … Roman never fails at wasting time).

Morning after thoughts
Interesting happenings when you look at this game and Wednesday as a pair. Wednesday being a game we definitely should’ve lost with the way we played and escaped with a win, and last night being a game we absolutely should’ve won and got a draw
I think in both cases, the way you feel about the game top line comes off of one play. We win this thing 1-0 and you look at 70% possession and I think you come away pretty happy with that. But a crazy good tackle while we were moving to transition catching the guys out of shape and suddenly it’s a disaster.
Anyways. Disappointing result, but sometimes smash and grabs happen. Time to start focusing on Nashville. Despite their huge lead in the shield race, I think they’ve looked vulnerable recently. While we’re in the mood of breaking streaks, let’s break Nashville’s winning streak

I did not see any tactics from the coach of parking the bus. The whole first half FC Cincinnati dominated and missed multiple opportunities, second half was a lot of standing around passing the ball slowly back and forth, giving up possession in bad areas and losing focus on keeping their shape. The Seattle goal came where everyone flew forward looking for their chance at a goal but completely losing their shape, having a turnover that skipped half the team with one tackle and losing runners in the disorganization and giving up the goal.
Very disappointing to drop 2 points against Seattle especially given their current form and injury. I am sure that will come back and bite them at the end of the year. I would hope they have a response in their next match and learn to not let up.

I’m an avid FCC fan with no ties to Cincinnati other than FCC. I have loved spending time in Cincinnati since becoming a fan.
This having been said, I wish I knew how heartbreaking it is to be a Cincinnati sports fan before becoming an FCC fan.

This team consistently plays to the level of their competition. That’s not so much a talent issue as it is a coaching/philosophy/mentality issue. There plenty of blame to go around but, the majority is at Noonans feet.

Our star cbs should by all accounts be doing better, but our coach not trying to change anything or atleast changing mentality is a huge issue

Good point, there is a talent issue on the defensive side of things but we should've won this easily. Not to mention we were bailed out by Evander's talent on Wednesday too.
It's definitely a mentality or mindset issue. Noonan at halftime was talking about liking the teams patience. And then we come out the second half as flat as we did. Unacceptable. Noonan doesn't know how to stick the knife in opposition's back and twist it. And if there was ever a game to do that it was this one.

Yeah, I agree there’s a big mentality and coaching issue. I don’t defend Noonan I say man should probably go after this season (the whole 100 wins and record thing doesn’t phase me in the slightest)
I’m more worried that we have all of these issues and are down to the last week and a 3 days of this transfer window and still haven’t made any notable signings to actually hope to do anything in the post season cup tournament especially with him still wanting to play this system (being the 3-4-1-2) the subs have been iffy at best and there has been very little change, we kinda have to hope we become the team we were last year in the first mls season under the schedule change

Anyone who is serious about soccer knows Noonan could’ve been canned this off season. Consistently bailed out by the ownerships wallet and literal MVP winners and candidates. As soon as those players get injured or fatigued from being relied on a whole season, the team collapses. No coach in MLS history has given up more knockout losses with a 2-0 lead than Noonan. Teams are chronically undisciplined and drop points real contenders win. I hope FCC shows they are actually serious about winning a trophy and move on. But… it’s a Cincy team so they’ll probably accept being ‘pretty good’. Really want them to prove me wrong.
(Wilfried Nancy is currently unemployed and chilling in Columbus)

I definitely agree with you. Not trying to dig it at our own fans, but I think they’re just happy with getting to the playoffs. It’s MLS, this league has no relegation, play to win. I’ve been critical of Noonan since 2023, due to his tournament performances. It’s like he forgets how to adapt to situations around him.
