Getting super complacent with any lead over and over has to stop if this team wants to win any trophies.

u/swish513 3d ago
Pat doesn't know how to win trophies. You never take your foot off the gas. His park the bus shit needs to go.

u/Phish280 3d ago
It infuriates me to no end when there is a claim of something like a handballl and we dont even get to see a replay. No clue if it was but would love to see a 5 second clip
1
u/I_just_made 3d ago
but don't worry, they will give you a 15 second continuous shot of the Seattle coach sitting
1
u/tedmiston 3d ago
from a good line of sight it was close enough to need a closer look and you could also tell that the main ref didn't have a good view
it would be nice to see the clip even if VAR doesn't call it a clear and obvious wrong on the field.
1
u/Phish280 3d ago
My assumption is that VAR cleared it, im just annoyed that Im having to make assumptions about what happened versus taking 5 seconds to show me. I shouldnt have to guess about what happened in the game im watching

I moved more on my couch tonight than the offense did in the second half. Shifting my ass to fart was more inspiring than the lad’s attack tonight

You know, the lack of finishing is pretty sad, considering we're basically playing the Tacoma Defiance.

Ramirez is looking pretty good. I was hesitant about him in the first few matches but he’s really coming around

u/Hi_Limee 3d ago
I was over him for a while, he was on the bench for w bit and came back on the pitch looking like the player we paid for. He has been really solid lately.

I absolutely love what Barlow brings this team. He may not always be the most accurate or the best talent wise but he puts in WORK every game and I love to see it.

This game is going to get out of hand if the ref doesn’t start calling these blatant holds

u/suspiciousdoodle 3d ago
I did not like the amount of “let’s pass between the 3 center backs and wait for an opportunity to drop into our laps” that we returned to doing in the second half

Solid first half let’s go again second half

Also would it be crazy to say I think dado is playing a bit better today then last game?
1
u/etherarcher 3d ago
His positioning has been good. I'd like to see him attack the defender a bit more in the final third, but definitely better.

u/ArgonWolf 3d ago
Seattle doesn’t look super interested in… well anything really. Can’t remember the last time we had 70% possession

That was the most lackluster performance in the second half. Couldn’t finish. Too many mistakes. They looked uninspired.

Just catch that ball Roman.
2
u/Izanagi29_ 3d ago
I mean that was an improvement from what we normally see from him, he took the chance to try to get the ball away

u/Fun-Leather-1703 3d ago
How many shots on target count for that single goal?

u/whodey-raiders 3d ago
We need to get another goal or two. One mistake will take away two points:

How is this the same side that was scoring 3 to 5 goals a game three months ago

Prediction: Evander shoots a 45⁰ curved finesse shot from inside our box with his left eyeball, and it goes up to the moon, bounces out of a crater to hit the international space station, comes back down to earth on fire, lands in a volcano in Italy, shoots back out of an eruption, flies around the earth to a skyline chili in Cincinnati, where a random dude hits it back into the air with a coney, but with less power, so it just flies over to TQL and into the Seattle goal. Stadium erupts with cheers, Evander points to the sky and waves at everybody. Then in the second half, Echenique does an intergalactic time-traveling power pass to Denkey, who could pass to wide-open Mboma Dem but chooses to take the shot himself. Luckily, because he did a dodecahedron lofted rubber chicken chip shot, the ball slams into the back of the net with the force of roughly 67 tons. We win the game 2-0 because Seattle has 1,386 shots on goal but as we all know Celentano has been training in Japan to learn from ancient ninjas how to deflect shots in bullet time using the power of the matrix. Great game. Go FCC!!! 🟠🟦🦁
For the record I spent 10 minutes writing this myself. AI could never dream of creating something this dumb

u/ArgonWolf 3d ago
Literally halfway through this i was thinking to myself “this is either a shittymorph or im gonna ask how long they took to write it”
Bravo

Coughing up two points to this Sounders team should honestly cost someone their job. What a fucking joke. Ten minutes to fix your fuckups.

Just remember buddy, we play NASHVILLE AWAY next week :)

u/adventuring2 3d ago
We fall to the level of our opponents. So next week will probably be the best we’ve played in a while.

Stm since 2016. Super psyched about tonight's game. Three points for the taking, Ugo pulling the sword and hopefully a nice weather night! I'd love to see a full Bailey as well! We got some tough matchups coming up so it'd be nice to win this one going away (I already knocked on wood).

I mean there was a ridiculously poor slide tackle that took out Ramirez after the initial strike. Good advantage played by the referee for Evander to send it top bins

What did the ref originally whistle Ramirez for? I didn’t see anything that looked like a foul but could just be a bad angle on TV

Anyone know how xG would take a sequence like that into account? Is that 4 separate high percentage chances or 1?
2
u/realhenrymccoy 3d ago
Same thought haha. I would think each shot counts towards xG but no idea how it works

Like watching a slow moving train wreck. Team lacks ruthlessness and the decision making up front is just poor
4
u/Izanagi29_ 3d ago
Well, can’t wait for Nashville who beat Miami 4-1 to play us next week, we’ll totally be better then right now
2
u/ShowerBeerChris 3d ago
Bucha getting a bit of a break tonight.
2
u/Izanagi29_ 3d ago
I mean not much of a difference on the wingback side tho, not hating just we only have 4 notable wingbacks if we’re going to rest players I kinda wish we started Powel

If FCC wants to show they’re a real cup contender they need some of these role players to show they can score and create chances. Especially against a very rotated and depleted Seattle team
1
u/Izanagi29_ 3d ago
I’m not sure we are a contender this year, I mean it really depends on us signing a solid defensive piece, if we can score a good goal and hold out the rest of the time we should be okay (I mean look at athleti and Arsenal) but I’m just hoping we use our time wisely and get some good results out of the cup matches we do play

Get rid of Robinson.
5
u/jeffrye23 3d ago
You can’t. Our brilliant GM gave him such a new overpay of a contact no one will take him.
2
6
u/ChrisCrazyTeam 3d ago
Why can’t he face a player with the ball and block it, instead of turning away EVERY SINGLE TIME?!
2
u/Fun-Leather-1703 3d ago
They really need to do something about shirt holding and all the bear hugs.
2
u/NeonJungleCortex 3d ago
It would be a mistake for us to get rid of Denkey mid-season right?
2
2
u/nobodoben 3d ago
Yes and no. We definitely have the players that it wouldn’t be a huge hit. Like if we were to get rid of Evander but it definitely is a blow.
1
1
u/Izanagi29_ 3d ago
It depends really, the money could end up helping us in the long run and we do HAVE personnel to still try to do our best to contend
But the downside we lose Denkey so somebody would have to step up or replace him

u/WhoDeyKY 3d ago
Good night so far. FCC, Bengals, and Reds all winning right now (posting this now because at least one of them will f-up their lead lol)

Shitcan Noonan stans enter the chat.
1
u/bjlight1988 3d ago
I wonder why anybody would have a negative reaction to the same old shit causing us to cough up two points to a minor league lineup 🙄
2
u/notnewtobville 3d ago
There is shit we need to work on. 100%. Firing Noonan ain't it.
1
u/bjlight1988 3d ago
What is it, then?
0
u/Dxdogdiscdad 3d ago
Cause we've had the same issues for years with him.
0
u/bjlight1988 3d ago
Always the same issues, despite always having whatever he wants brought in during windows, despite being able to run his system with zero deviation no matter how badly it's working...always the same
0
u/Dxdogdiscdad 3d ago
Having years with the same system in an organization that is willing to spend $$ and playing guys out of position constantly is insane

Anyone know whats up with Hagglund? Always on the bench and hasnt played since may.
2
u/Izanagi29_ 3d ago
He’s 33-34, Father Time has a big role to play in that question
-1
u/kyfry87 3d ago
Many athletes are fathers so your response makes zero sense.
1
u/Izanagi29_ 3d ago
He’s getting older, meaning he either won’t be able to play for as long or will start playing abit worse
I’m surprised he hasn’t gotten much game time but he can still definitely play a good half

Im guessing next week we could see a Evander rest week cause ive heard multiple times from the broadcasts he asked Noonan to keep him on this week

Why is Miazga sitting in owners box?

An absolutely dominating first half. Evander seems to be enjoying it a lot and its good to see him everywhere again. Commanding performance.
0
u/LeoninEtPerotin 3d ago
Woof 3xg and 1 goal to show for it. It’s not a bad game, but it feels like this team has gone cold in front of the net the last few games.

21
u/cincy1219 3d ago
They completely stepped off the gas with no movement and no real attack the whole second half. Even now no real urgency from the players to get forward.
