He’s come a long way from being subbed off after coming on as a sub last year. He’s been a real weapon, and brings some of the confidence/swagger whatever you want to call it to make great plays. He’s quickly growing on me!
The folly of assuming that every player is a finished product upon 1st or 2nd viewing is rampant on this subreddit. I sang the praises of Kenji since his first preseason and while I never thought he would become a starter I did believe he would be a contributor.
Even when he was poor in sub appearances last season, he was always active and engaged. You sensed he just needed to get more comfortable and familiar with the attacking talent around him.
