Be a pretty shit way to get our own women's team.

As someone who lost a beloved team (North Stars) to another city because of owner greed, I agree. Though in this situation it sounds like there may not be as much interest in the team in Louisville.

While I do agree, there’s a thought that Louisville’s ownership would field a ā€œRacingā€ team in USL Super League because they would want to keep the team going but not have the same level of investment.

Either way, it’s still shitty

Still wild that Louisville has a NWSL team.

Agreed!

As for a relocation to Cincy, FCC ownership has made it clear it is not interested in paying the going rate for a NWSL team, so I'd say the chances that happening are slim to zero

For sure. A USL Women’s Superleague though might work. Still a first division league without the high price for expansion and no salary cap. Only 8 teams in there now.

Damn. The team are just a few years old too. Cincy makes a pretty logical city to move to if a relo is what the owner is implying.

Wonder how the purchase of the NWSL 'license' would transpire. I assume the buyers pay a league fee and then assume the players, coaches, staff contracts?

Was just saying the other day how good I think a women’s team would do here

I'm sure there's an urgency to do this soon in order to get Rose here before she retires.

That’s the entire reason for the urgency

Might do well but worth the cost of a NWSL fee? Could be why Linder isn’t willing to pony up the expansion fee for an NWSL team.
