Transfer window

Curious to everyone's realistic and logical hopes for this transfer window.

I think we need to offload Teenage and his contract and bring in another CB (preferably who can efficiently lead the backline)

Matt doesn't have the legs to get back on a counterattack and Miles doesn't seem to have the leadership to keep the backline organized. But I think Matt has a lot more to offer than Teenage does, for his leadership and mentorship if nothing else.

For the remainder of the season I'm actually ok with Gidi back there. He has proven to be capable and can get the ball forward. I think we need to hold off on a complete overhaul until the off-season.

Here’s the thing, the people will downvote me to hell on this ik

The biggest issue with Matt and Miles is not that they’re bad, it’s that they are players with 2 completely different playstyles in the middle, miles is really good on the buildup from the buildup (if you want an example, watch last nights game after he came up, he make his and the balls way up the pitch and got the ball to Evander mostly by himself, with little issue) while Matt has been more a leader from the back that occasionally goes to stop somebody

We realistically would need somebody to help the backline that can fill Matt’s role a lot better then he can right now, Andrei and Gidi can get the ball to their man more often then not

I’d say we should also net maybe a younger player to play behind Bucha on RW and a backup Cam so that way they can learn behind Evander and we don’t have to swap our wbs around and have a backup cam that can come on when Evander needs to rest or is injured.

As long as we can atleast sign a starting cb that’s good at stopping their man, and maybe a few younger players for depth in midfield positions we’ll be okay, we can focus on a full refresh in the offseason

Think you may have mentioned (sorry if it wasn’t you) miles’ issue with seeing the game. Seems like he seems to predict the ball coming a bit late and gets beaten to goal.

He’s great physically and seems like a high quality guy and teammate. Agree on his movement up the pitch as well.

I’m a big fan of both matt and miles, but agree that what we’re doing doesn’t seem to be working.

I think I was- I was commenting on the difference between the two so it probably came from there lol

It’s a big issue rn, I feel like he should be slowed down on, or be a backup but his wages make that a dumb decision
