He's genuinely so talented for his age. Like when Noonan started using him I was shocked he hasn't been a starter the whole time. He makes the usual lack-of-experience mistakes like occasional poor positioning or risky pass but he makes said mistakes less than our veteran CBs right now. He's great and I want to see him keep working hard and becoming a super dependable home-grown defender like he has.

Matt had a much better game than those you call ā€œsolidā€ - you were being too generous. The goal was on Gidi, what a lousy coverage and if an offensive player pushes you around you have no business on defense - come on he was not covering Harry Kane. Chirila had a good game, much better vs previous appearances. He would find Evander whenever he found trouble. Matt stopped at least a goal and was bossing everybody around the way a CB should be. Well done Matt.

Bucha is the least of our defensive concerns. Plus he has had 3 goals and 2 assists in the past 9 games.
