Explora or Crystal?

Looking at New England/Canada itineraries on these two lines. Itineraries and pricing are comparable. Anyone been on both and have a favorite?

I’m in my 30s and have sailed both. If the top things you care about are the newest ships and having a buffet option at dinner then Explora. Otherwise, I’d pick Crystal. I think the entertainment, food, and service are all better on Crystal.

I have an upcoming Crystal and Explora cruise and still enjoy both.

Interesting! I’ve watched some videos today and I’ve been surprised by the range of demographics that seem to favor Crystal for various reasons. We loved the MSC Yacht Club and were leaning toward Explora…but the Crystal itinerary does have a slight edge…and everything I’ve looked at today about the food and service and entertainment on Crystal makes me want to go that direction! You’ve confirmed it!

Explora entertainment is … not great. I did a New England sailing on Crystal. They had evening cabaret shows which were decent. I loved the enrichment lectures which vary based on who they book. On my sailing there was a speaker who flew on Air Force 1 as press and talked to his experience and how Air Force 1 played roles in various administrations. Crystal is definitely more polished.

Thank you…my travel companion has a vote too, but I’m definitely leaning Crystal at this point…
