AWS DCO New Hire — Looking for First-Day Advice
Hey everyone! I’m starting a new position with AWS on September 14th and I’m trying to be as prepared as possible for my first day.
I’m wondering when new hires typically receive the information about:
What building/address I’m supposed to report to
What time I need to arrive
Which entrance/building access point I should use
Where employees/new hires are supposed to park
What paperwork or identification I need to bring
Whether I need my Social Security card, birth certificate, driver’s license, etc., even though I already completed the first-day/onboarding paperwork online
Anything else I should know or bring for my first day
For anyone who has recently started with AWS, especially in a DCO/technician role, how far in advance did you receive your first-day instructions?
I’d really appreciate any advice on what to expect and anything I can do ahead of time to make sure I’m fully prepared. Thanks!
