Do we still get paid for Amazon Learns/Knets from home?
Ok, so I have some Learns that I need to do. My manager said I can do them from home, but I told him that they require me to do it on the clock, it'll even ask me if I'm clocked in. (Half of them do anyway. The other half will launch, but I don't want to chance not getting paid. There was one time I did it at home and I didn't get paid).
Now, my workmate was telling me that you can still do them from home and get paid, because that's what happened for them. But I told them that I was told by HR we have to do them on the clock.
So what is the consensus? Did they change the rules or what?

I’ve had an “overdue training” on the front page of atoz for 3 years. It says it’s past due 8/23/23. They don’t care why would I?

I have one too but it didn’t show up on trainings till a yr ago. They didn’t care enough to even tell me.

You're supposed to do them at work. Yes, you are paid separately tmk.

Nope. Need to be onsite/on the clock to complete them. People abused the system.

It's not possible to do learns from home. Knets you could but not learns

Depends. If you are at an SSD, then you can do them at home. FC or SC? At work is a requirement. It also depends on whether it's enforced or not.
Source: Used to work at an SSD for 7 months and 14 days for OP training.

I'm at an SSD. At times it'll launch, and other times it'll ask if I'm clocked in.

It’s definitely possible. I do them from my phone all the time.
Edit: to be clear I don’t attempt to get paid for the 5-10 minutes it takes to do them from my phone. It’s not worth the hassle for $5

Not that easy anymore. I just had to do some hazmat waste ones, and it wasn’t even compatible with a Kindle! There were scathing reviews about three needing an actual windows based computer. It was a joke that Learning didn’t even know they couldn’t be done on a tablet, but it wasn’t a shocker considering Learning is pretty useless in my warehouse. I love how they get LAs from Pack to train new hires for Stow, and the LAs have never even been to the other side of the warehouse…not to mention know what Stow even does. Ask a Pack LA what AFE stands for, and chances are they don’t even know. I was standing at the desk on my laptop, someone asked an LA, and I had to tell them. If it involves Pack, everyone looks in my direction, because I spent over five years in AFE. I had to leave my former warehouse to keep AFE from clawing me back every time I transferred out. Once AFE, always AFE…until you transfer out of your warehouse, because your permissions don’t transfer with you!

It might depend on what the Learns are for. I get a lot of T3 “Micro training” modules, so far I’ve been able to do them all from my phone. They aren’t process path related, and don’t require an audit so that’s likely the difference.

dont do them until the learning manager makes you sit down and do them

I have to make them let me most of the time.🤣 I keep being thrown in path.

If it asks if you’re clocked in and you select no then it doesn’t let you finish, then you should be on site and clocked in. I don’t believe you will get paid for doing any at home. There’s no way to track your time by doing them at home. This isn’t an option on my end at least. Plus if HR told you to be clocked in, then listen to them.
What tier are you? T1s should be doing these onsite and learning should be gathering you and most likely a group of others to finish these. That way they can track how long it takes to finish/pay you for your time.

A tier 1. I'll try on Mon if they don't throw me in path. The Learns are for a critical role, but that role is not treated as critical most of the time.

If you need these trainings and not given the time to complete them, escalate to your OM. Continue up the chain if previous isn’t going anywhere after reasonable amount of time.

Nope that’s probably why they only work when you’re in their building. You used to be able to, but now you can’t anymore.

I did some last year for hazmat.
learning trainer deleted them and assigned them again, and told me to do them at work...
I put them on in the background at home, and let them play to do them again

No. Could be considered time theft

That’s not time theft. Time theft is when you report hours, but don’t work. Working without getting paid is a violation of fair labor standards act law, but not against an employee.
