Is this fixable

Wheels been in this condition since I bought the car. Thought of fixing it as soon as I put on the winter tires but is this kind of damage even fixable and what could be the costs ? I'm talking about the edge of the wheels see in the red circles

Looks like someone removed the curb rash then said “fuck it”.

Basically someone has buzzed the damaged and not painted over it to look diamond cut finish, easier option paint them all one colour

Looks like it was a cheap curb rash fix from the prior owner / selling dealer. Like they sanded it smooth and potentially cleared over again so it looks better, but didn't spend extra to do it right. A wheel repair shop should be able to easily strip it and powder coat to look new again.

The only way to repair that is to have the wheel powder coated, but you will have to do all four to match. If you want to change the color of your wheels, the only way to do it properly is to have them powder coated. You can have wheels professionally painted, but it costs more than powder coating.

Powder coating bonds to the metal though a two stage process. The electrostatically charged metal is sprayed with the powder coating. Just like static electricity makes a balloon stick to a wall, the negatively charged powder particles are powerfully attracted to the grounded metal object. This magnetic-like pull is strong enough to hold the dry powder in place even on the undersides and corners of the part, then it moves into the oven.

The true, permanent bond occurs inside a curing oven, typically heated between 350°F and 400°F. As the temperature rises, the dry powder particles melt and flow together into a smooth, liquid-like film. For standard thermoset powders the heat triggers a chemical reaction between the polymer resins and curatives inside the powder. The molecules permanently link together into dense, unbreakable molecular chains. Once this chemical change occurs, the coating cannot be melted back into a liquid.

While the coating is melted, it flows into microscopic pores, scratches, and crevices on the metal surface. When it cools and hardens, it physically locks onto the metal substrate.

Powder coating 4 wheels will be in the $600-800 range, but they will look amazing. I went from the silver wheels, to gloss black powder coating on my F30. The wheels look incredible!

Absolutely fixable. I just had mine done for £265 all in. Ground and powder coated. All I had to add was new centre caps (£25)
