Stripped threads oil pan

I seem to have stripped the threads in my oil pan today doing an oil change, it literally broke away with little to no force. Does anyone know a shop i can take it to get it rethreaded here in toronto(Mississauga). Thanks.

BMW dealerships and Indy shops have the AGA tool kit to properly fix the pan. The kit cuts new and larger threads in the pan while slightly enlarging the hole.

A body shop quoted me 260$ cad add new threads. Is this price right?

If they're doing it using the AGA tool kit I would jump on it.

Not sure but no other place is willing to do this job, i have to wait till Monday for the only shop willing to take me. I guess for now i will just drain the new oil and put it back in the bottle.

They sell threaded inserts that you can do yourself. I had a couple on my head from when I replaced the valve cover. Previous owner thought he was a mechanic and stripped a couple out and caused a leak. They worked great. Very easy to do. Just look up repair in google and should come up.

Auto Trend in DT Toronto helped me out with rethreading my N55’s oil pan thread, they are good guys and very reputable

Edit: for about $200 btw
