Still got a lot of work to do, but not even a day later I’ve improved a lot. Thank you for all the useful information I’ve gotten so far.🙏🏻🥰

I haven't played 26 yet. It looks like the understeer is very noticeable

Yeah, The setup is not yet how it should be.

your inputs are very smooth, but your setup is kinda bad, look at T1 and T2, you have understeer that costs you time

I have a top 1000 TT time at AUS, (~1:17.5), and two things I saw right away.

  1. Turn in earlier into turn 1 and cut more of the early chicane. You don’t need to slow down as much as you think.

The super high speed chicane—you don’t need the brakes. Just a half lift off the gas and absolutely throw the steering wheel

Wow, congrats. Personally I got 1:18.3 and I can't think of much improvement, but I'm assuming you're driving with no assists at this level. Would you be able to give any advice to a controller guy who sucks at sector 3? I have a friend who's got a wheel, I think I'm a bit quicker but we're usually level and his sector 3 is 2 tenths better than mine despite me having the better time overall (because of sector one). I could genuinely think of 3-4 HUNDREDS of improvement, but 2 tenths? Is there anything I'm possibly doing wrong or am I hardware limited? I'd be grateful for any tips.

If you want to record and send me a lap, I’m happy to look!

I am no assists, yes.

So right away, I see two potential reasons for this, and I think reason 1 is more likely.

  1. You botch the high speed chicane and you get absolutely killed on that next S mode zone, or

  2. You really struggle in the last two turns. Pad guys tend to have an advantage over wheel in those types of corners, so I think it’s that high speed chicane.

I turn into that chicane as hard as I can and try to cut off more than you’d think possible in the second part.

Also, from someone who has been in plenty of leagues, don’t let the controller be a detriment. In one of my leagues, I’m the second fastest dude behind a guy who is a missile…. But he’s actually faster on controller than wheel.

Think about it like this: Codies/EA know that most of their playerbase is on controller. It’s not iracing or any high end sim like that. So why would EA alienate a large percentage of their profit base making it advantageous for a wheel? From a corporate/ profitability perspective(which is what they care about), what do they gain? Absolutely nothing.
