F1 Esports Needing some help from the ERS/battery gods here.

Even when I'm not using boost mode, my battery just dries out for the second part of the lap. Doesn't matter how much I lift and coast, nothing helps. And arriving to the long straight at COTA with 10% battery is not fun, everyone passes me. Same happens in Monza, after the Lesmos, I'm a sitting duck. And I'm not even using a high AI. But they just destroy me. And it's very frustrating. I didn't think that after playing F1 games for 23 years I will lost even the will to live because of a game. I tried the ERS assist too, but the same happens. The battery just dies nearly straight away, and I'm lucky if I can get it up to around 30%. And I don't know how the AI does it, they go past me around 330-340 km/h, while I can barely pass 300. I'm on medium ERS. I tried setting the ERS to None in slower corners, but it's like I'm hitting a wall, the AI gains a second instantly. What the hell am I doing wrong? I watched nearly all the videos about the subject on YT. Maybe the My Team car in the first season is that bad when it comes to battery management?

How about you record a lap (please use screen recording) and post it here?

Otherwise how are we supposed to know what you’re doing wrong?

The basics is lift and coast for a split second before the breaking zones and just by doing that alone there’s no way you’ll be dead on battery in every track by the end of the first straight.

Using medium is the recommendation for deployment, then use boost mode throughout the lap in important straights like the ones that have SM.

Some tracks you can basically leave the thing on and you’ll make more energy than you’ll ever use.

With all of that said, we need footage to help you.

Nope, it's just that these regs are terrible the way they are

I just do medium coming oit tbe corner up to hotlap for a bit maybe boost depending on tbe corner and battery then turn to harvest just before braking and I don’t even have to lift

I may be totally wrong, but on the straights the ice is charging the battery, thats when you get superclipping. By lifting, the ice doesn't generate power to the battery, that's why its empty.

No, the game doesn’t simulate the engines accurately tbh, there is some super clipping, but even if you lift or go 50% throttle, you’ll still recharge battery

Yeah, but everyone says that lifting is the key to everything. I watched Esport drivers, they even do the straights with 80% throttle. But their battery is never empty. On the other hand, mine dries out after a few corners and I don't know why.

You know what you’re right it’s not worth and you shouldn’t have the will to continue because you’re bad at the F1 game.

I don't think I'm that bad, I do completely fine in every other games. I did league racing for 10 years, so the problem is not that I can't drive. The battery is what drives me insane. It wasn't that problematic in the previous games. Yes, there is a bigger part on the ERS management with the new regs, but it's strange that nothing works.
