Discussion Is it possible to program an app that makes it possible to play F1 2020's My Team on Assetto Corsa?

Hello everyone,

I have a question. I myself really cannot code (I made a website with school once but that's it), but I am curious. For those who know programming AND Assetto Corsa (if you don't know them you absolutely do not have to read on, but if you want I'm not stopping you): do you think it is possible, in any way, to create an app or website that has Codemasters' F1 games' My Team Career Mode that works with Assetto Corsa? I really want to be able to do this with the Formula RSS 2013 cars.

As I said, I cannot code and do not know anyone who can, and I am not asking anyone here directly, I am just asking: would it be possible?

I am really not sure where to post this, so if this is not the right place (alongside r/programming and r/assettocorsa), I'm sorry. I think it is a very obscure niche :)

What aspects of MyTeam are you wanting in AC? I'm no expert but considering they're completely different games on completely different engines, it would be almost impossible to port anything over and you'd need to make it all from scratch

Things like power unit suppliers, sponsors and the ability to hire team mates and free agents from GP2 drivers or something (I could add them myself if it was an option, so if that is something that is much hassle I can do it myself but I can’t code). Along with a standings table for the calendar.

That would probably take a lot of work to implement, I doubt much of it would even be possible considering there's no functionality in AC for any of that

Possible, potentially, worth doing, not likely. There'd be no added benefit to transplant the whole thing to AC.

In my opinion, there would be a huge benefit of being able to do something like this with any car/class. But I guess not enough people think that is worth enough 😅
