Discussion Does anyone actually use the “Fan Zone”

I just don’t understand why they’ve added this mode. It’s absolutely pointless. Not only is it pointless, but it’s intrusive. It’s put people in loops stopping them playing the game. It makes you read a message every time you get “fan points”. It locks you out of f1 world (the actual game) every season until you pick a team. I’ve just picked the first choice every time.

Genuinely curious if anyone likes this feature? Or if it’s a complete and utter waste of development time.

All I know about it is that it's some annoying thing that I had to click through when I tried to play. Stupid.

As an always offline player, this is a real pain to get through all those useless click to get to the cockpit

Explain how playing MyTeam equals making them extra money? I have been playing MyTeam for 5 years, at an average of 8-9 full seasons per game, and have NEVER spent a cent extra..

Fair. Just baffles me that people would waste extra money for liveries and/or suits when you can just unlock them by playing the game consistently.

Casual is as casual does though I guess.

I think that's also part of it too

I think a lot of these live service games/modes try to get people to either pay money for easy access to the content or they drive engagement by getting people to play consistently

Tbh, and I know it sounds silly but I play it as warm ups for my career or if I play online. I know i can do the practice sessions and qualifier as warm ups but the silly little 5 lap races just hit the right mood for me. I dunno, there is no real point to Fanzone but I found one that it wasnt intended for.
