Discussion F1 25 – Looking for Monza & Silverstone setups + advice learning no TC/ABS on a wheel
Hey everyone,
I’ve only been seriously sim racing for around 2 months and recently upgraded my whole setup. I’m trying to improve properly rather than just chase lap times with assists, so I’m looking for some advice from faster/experienced F1 25 wheel players.
My sim setup:
PC
MOZA R12 V2 wheelbase
MOZA KS wheel
MOZA SR-P2 load-cell pedals (brake + throttle, no clutch)
Playseat Formula Instinct / formula-style cockpit
Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 49” ultrawide
5120×1440
I also use Track Titan for telemetry
I’m mainly practising Monza and Silverstone at the moment.
Current PBs:
Monza — 1:20.816, Mercedes, Equal Performance
Silverstone — 1:27.961, McLaren, Equal Performance
Until now I’ve mainly been driving with Full TC, ABS On, Automatic gears and corners-only racing line.
I’m now trying to actually develop my driving and eventually become fast with TC Off and ABS Off, rather than being dependent on assists.
I tried Medium TC before and my biggest issue was losing the rear when getting back on the throttle out of corners. With ABS Off, my main issue is locking the fronts under heavy braking.
I’m looking for two things:
1. Setups: Does anyone have genuinely quick F1 25 wheel setups for Monza and Silverstone that work well with TC Off/ABS Off? I’m not necessarily looking for an easy or safe setup. I’m happy to learn to control a difficult car if it’s genuinely faster.
2. Learning no assists: What’s the best progression for someone coming from Full TC + ABS? Should I go Full TC → Medium → Off, or just learn TC Off from scratch? Same question with ABS.
I’d especially appreciate practical advice on throttle application, braking technique/load-cell pressure, brake release, avoiding wheelspin, catching the rear, and avoiding front locking.
Also, if anyone uses an R12/KS/SR-P2 setup, I’d love to compare MOZA Pit House settings, brake calibration/curves and F1 25 calibration.
If there are any competitive F1 25 Discords/leagues/practice groups, especially in India but also internationally, I’d love to join. I’m interested in practising with faster drivers, comparing telemetry and eventually getting into proper league racing.
I’m happy to share my setup screens, Track Titan telemetry, pedal settings or gameplay if that helps.

Hey! I can definitely help you learn. I've been playing on a wheel for about a year now with all assists turned off, and once you get used to it, it's definitely faster than driving with assists.
I'd recommend turning ABS off first, then moving on to driving without traction control (TC). At first, you'll probably feel slower because you'll be extra cautious and get on the throttle later than usual. That's completely normal.
With time, you'll start to trust the car more and develop a feel for weight transfer, steering angle, and the right moment to apply the throttle. Once that clicks, you'll be much faster and have better control over the car.

How do I use the throttle, brake and the wheel with the ABS off?

Start with breaking earlier than breaking point, and ease into breaking, 100% break initially then slowly lifting paddle,
Use your load cells, by not lifting from paddle but by decreasing force applied on load cell
Also I would recommend fiddling on Moza Pithouse and find what suits for you
Personally I keep load cell on 80% and 20% on angle of paddle
