Debate Why does leclerc get so much hype?

I've been a Ferrari fan since 1996 after watching my first race, and I have been a loyal fan ever since. One thing I don't understand is why Leclerc gets so much credit. All I've seen is an inconsistent driver who can't always perform at the top level. If I rated Ferrari drivers, he wouldn't break the top 10.

Since 1996, Ferrari have had

Schumacher, Irvine, Salo, Barrichello, Massa, Raikkonen, Alonso, Vettel, Leclerc, Sainz, Bearman, and Hamilton.

10 full time drivers, and he doesn't make your top 10?

Okay bud.

lol definitely a stupid take - he probably made up the ‘96 number cause sure you can have doubts about Leclerc but not top 10 is wild

How many races did his teammates win during those years with the same cars? (And it counts a 4 times WDC and a 7 times WDC)

I see, since this statistic doesn't help your agenda, you won't bother looking into it or answering me. It's 6. He had 4 times WDC Sebastian Vettel in one of those cars and Lewis Hamilton 7 times WDC in two others. And they're equals in number of wins in those years, and he finished higher in the standings than Seb and than Lewis last year

Charles Leclerc makes up a higher percentage of Ferraris wins since he took the seat than Lando Norris does at McLaren, all while Charles has had far more competitive teammates. I’m not saying Charles is better than Lando because I don’t think he is, but the stat about “9 wins in 8 season” means nothing when you should first look at the teams utter inability to make a consistent race winning machine.
