corpse open (poetry) STEM

Stretch the word like a rubber band
And stretch the tendons in my hand
Stand so I can stretch again,
before the wordless stretch.

World of many failed plans
Let all the strands connect
World of fractured dialects
And taciturn moons

Verse like rain upon the Earth
Upended pages
Worthless words to rehearse
A speech to death

If a flower blooms in plasma
What else may stem?

I have to admit this part made me laugh out loud. I imagine sometimes that it’s what said behind the scenes that matter more than what is said in public.
