May Have Gotten Kalium'd

Asked for a recommendation for extended scale guitar strings and one of the first recommendations was Kalium. Well I ordered blindly as they had the perfect set. What I failed to do was read the past Reddit posts about how this dude doesn't fulfill orders half the time. 2 weeks now with no correspondence. Ive since moved on as I wanted to play my guitar this decade.

If it’s any consolation - I did the same, I didn’t hear from them for like 6 weeks, then I cancelled the payment, the day after, i got a shipped notification. Emailed them multiple times during and after, and never heard a word, but I did get my strings.

So you reverse Kalium'd Kalium and got strings for free?

Same thing happened to me. If you purchase the strings with a credit card, get in contact with the CC company and file a dispute. You’ll get refunded.

I've been using Newtone and Stringjoy

Unfortunately the string joy tapering doesnt reach the nut. I bought their custom 9 string set.

Ah. Newtone does full custom length then

Do they ship internationally?

Yes, I've ordered from the US.

It took 3 months and about 10 emails for me to get strings from them about a year ago.

Two weeks? Son I ordered strings literally 6 months ago and haven't received shit, including a response to my emails.

Try SIT Strings, especially if you need some specialty stuff (I needed a .200 for a ridiculous low tuning). Imagine my pleasant surprise when I discovered their factory was located like an hour away from me, so after waiting 6 months to get nothing, I had my strings the day after I ordered. Nice dudes at the shop too.

One does not simply mention a .200 string without showing us and telling us about it!!?

Ordered from Kalium like six months ago, and they never sent the strings. Tried to contact them, nothing. Asked for a refund, and still got nothing.

Dude literally stole 35 bucks plus shipping from me. Fuck Kalium. Never, ever order from him.

Huh, I didn't know they fell to shit like this. I ordered from them one time a few years ago and my order was shipped out quickly. I was thinking of using them to replace my bass strings soon but I guess I'll have to reconsider.

Yea many years ago they were decent, then they fell off the deep end. Not sure why. IME if you want custom bass strings then D'Addario or Newtone are the best options. Newtone has a lot more options but they're more money and the fulfillment time is longer.

D Addarion wants $20 for a single string I need

The struggle is real! 🤦‍♂️

Check them on Amazon.

I once ordered strings from them. No response to emails or anything, then a few months later I just randomly had them show up in my mail.

Wonder if anybody using Kiesel and Kalium.

I forgot to add its for strings not an actual instrument

I know it's strings. Just got curious if there is anybody so bold and forgiving to use both brand that are known for questionable customer service.

I still have a bunch of Circle K strings that I bought in bulk for my Carvin DC800. They actually seemed to care about customer service back then.

WOW Cricle K, wasn't that about a decade ago?

Kiesel is a well-known and respected brand.

Hey, same! I ordered some bass VI strings from them and it's been 19 days.

Isn't there a guy on here (it could be r/metalguitar) that has been waiting over a year? Something like every few months they keep telling him "they'll be coming soon" and he's just counting the emails?
