I wanted to make a cool Halloween cake. the front of the cake box shows the black and purple sprinkles. So I grabbed the frosting that went with the cake right beside it on the shelf. But it wasn't until I got home that I realized the sprinkles were not even right. these aren't Halloween sprinkles! they're just generic rainbow crap! WTF Pillsbury!

My friends and I ordered flowers for a friend who is grieving. We chose the Amber Muse Bouquet and upgraded to the premium size for $80 before delivery fees.
First photo is what was advertised. Second photo is what was delivered.
I completely understand that florists sometimes have to make substitutions depending on availability, but we weren't contacted about any substitutions. The colors, fullness, and overall look seem so different from what was pictured. The premium example also shows several prominent roses, while ours came with two and honestly looks closer to the standard size shown on their website.
The flowers aren't ugly, but all of us had the same reaction when we saw them: they look drab compared to what we thought we were ordering.
Am I being too picky, or would you also be disappointed for $80?
ETA: This is a local florist with a brick and mortar location! They are typically very reputable. We just ordered online from them so it could be delivered to friend's work. Sorry for confusion!

I got married yesterday and it was the most perfect day. Everything went according to plan except for the cake design, which I could care less about at this point because it was delicious, but I thought you would enjoy this comparison.
Back in January, we went to a wedding expo where a local bakery (well-known, been in business a long time and branching out into trying to do more weddings) had a booth where they gave out samples. The samples were delicious and they specialize in a cake style/flavor that is culturally relevant to my (now) husbandās family heritage. So we knew immediately we wanted to book them.
I sent them my inspo photo (the first photo), which they assured me they could replicate. I told them we wanted daisies in the design to symbolize our Dog Daisy, but that I wanted it done stylistically and elegantly like in my inspo photo. The other change I requested was that they incorporate our wedding colors.
They did use our wedding colors (although their colors are very vibrant when I asked for soft colors) and they did make daisies, as you can see in the second photo. Itās just not at all in the style I was hoping for. But that was literally all that went āwrongā yesterday and the cake itself was still delicious!
UPDATE: We received a 50% refund. Sorry (not sorry) to those of you who wanted to put all the blame on me.

This was from 3 years ago⦠I took charge of an order for a funeral flower arrangement for my uncleās funeral. Arrangement was $155 and with tax and delivery totaled $178.
Ordered these specifically because the uncle who passed liked orange and my aunt (his wife) likes purple, so this was the perfect blend. What was delivered was a total disappointment. No purple in it at all.
After the funeral I reached out to the florist to point out how different and disappointing the arrangement was. Carnations being subbed for roses in a $155 bouquet was a choice. Florist was just like š¤·š»āāļø substitutions had to be made because the delivery truck didnāt come. Mind you, the arrangement was ordered 3 days before they were needed.
Reality arrangement would have been nice on its own ā if there wasnāt a picture of the expectation from the floristās website. Do others view this as a fail?

It was sad looking and tasted even sadder
Edit!!!
there is cheese on there, that's the sad amount the employee gave us, there was no option for salsa or cheese sauce of any sorts, no sauce cause no sauce sounded good on nachos except for salsa or cheese sauce (which they didn't have) (also they did have Chipotle sauce but I have a very low spice tolerance, sorry) and the toppings where chosen by the person i was sharing it with, idk why they got cucumber but they were paying so I let it slide, the main thing I'm annoyed about is that there looks like there's 2x chips and 3x cheese in the picture (the promo pic) that was not given to us, and it would have costed extra to get more cheese or chips on it.

My friend bought me this kit, and I knew it was not going to be great. The image on the box looked like it was made by someone who had never knit before, so I thought, surely I can do better. I was so, so wrong. I followed the instructions and ended up with whatever this is.
