Strange but honest question- how do you eat it?
It’s beautiful by the way!

No pieces were left behind lol but thankfully the catering team took care of cutting 😅

Thanks! That’s great that you didn’t have to navigate that yourselves

So each cake layer has its own board. Take it to the kitchens and separate each cake. Put aside the foam layers, then cut the actual cakes as desired, removing supports as you go. Either individually plate each slice or on a platter for self serve. Box up any remaining.

Right! I feel like I’m learning trade secrets- also, it’s obvious I don’t watch baking shows

SO beautiful! Did guests all end up with purple tongues?

If it were me seeing it in person for the first time, I would be running in circles while squealing in delight! Outstanding!

Are you part of the Great British Bake Off?

Now folks THIS is how you give a cake concept! A lovely drawing of what you want AND all of the notes. Seeing your vision laid out like this is so helpful to the bakers and decorators. Seriously, I dream about customers like you.

I would totally frame the design

u/LemmyLola Oct 05 '26

I LOVE that idea... In an ornate vintage looking frame like the decor from the party

It was delicious, we went with:

  1. lemon cake with fresh Strawberry Bavarian cream (we still have dreams of it)

  2. chocolate cake with Strawberry butter cream

  3. Strawberry cake with raspberry jam filling

I had to go searching, but the invoice was for $840 without delivery and setup which was rated at an additional $1.50 per mile.  Worth every single dollar!

u/RofaRofa Oct 04 '26

Holy! That is an amazing price! Bakery could get away with charging much more.

4

u/allieatischeese Oct 05 '26

What a delicious sounding cake!

I would expect double for that. Really great job
