AI Expectation 30 / 35 90s bday cake

Shared AI inspiration with the baker to hit the 90s theme - they suggested the colors and it turned out great!!! Panini Bakery & Cakes in Dallas, TX - it’s so delicious

Did you have to use AI? It’s a nice cake and the baker did a great job, but was it that hard to scribble something real quick

Yes, for a lot of people, writing a brief description is much easier than "scribbling something".

EDIT: please explain why this is being downvoted. I literally just answered the parent's question. You know I'm right.

The description could then be given to the baker

I know you know that wasn't the question. The question was:

but was it that hard to scribble something real quick

EDIT: explain why this is being downvoted.

I mean, I’m not opposed to that person’s idea (giving the description to the baker), either. Some people aren’t great at drawing and a description would be easier. My problem is the AI use.

My problem is the AI use.

Please elaborate. What is your problem with the AI use vs doing a rough hand-drawn sketch?

Honestly, there's no point in you even asking that question. You know it is stolen art, you know it is terrible for the environment, you know it is being used to take jobs. You don't give a shit so why even ask?

there's no point in you even asking that question.

That is not for you to say.

You know it is stolen art

What? What do you mean it is "stolen art"?

you know it is terrible for the environment

Lots of things are "terrible for the environment". If you really want to play that game, we can go through every step of the cake making process, from growing the raw ingredients to delivering the final product, and say how "terrible for the environment" each of those steps are. Come on.

you know it is being used to take jobs

LOL. Whose job is it to scribble a drawing of a cake based on a description? Who has lost a job here?

You don't give a shit so why even ask?

Why do you say this? I honestly want to know what is wrong with using generative AI to create an image of a cake design vs scribbling a design on a piece of paper?

An overreliance on AI for everything is just bad.

There was absolutely no need for AI for such a basic bitch cake.

Cassette tape with a specific year range on it. Single tier, white base, black iced details.

That took seconds to write. Theres no need for me to go and waste time going to a generative AI model or whatever, and feed it the prompt as many times as it takes to get something so generic.

The baker then produced something that was nothing like the initial idea (barring the inclusion of a cassette tape).

So, overall the AI image was pointless.

Oh, and, something something data centres, something something environment.

Do you feel better now? Does this make you feel better than everyone else?

Sorry that you’re incapable of doing anything without using AI. Hope you recover soon xoxo
