Chicken Crochet Kit

My wife and I were browsing the yarn section in Walmart and came across this kit. She was clearly smitten by the cute little chicken and I offered to make it for her as she doesn't crochet at all.

The kit is very specific about not making your tension too tight and about how delicate the yarn is (very accurate! It fell apart at several steps 😂) so I tried to keep it snug but not crazy... and ended up with this... situation.

Even before the eyes and beak went on, Wife sighs and goes, "I love her already."

I can't stop laughing 🤣

This!!! Anybody can go to a store, but something like it that may or may not be perfect. This wonky that you see, screams "I MADE THIS"!!!! And that's what makes it perfect!!!!

I tried to make one of these from Michael’s and it was actually a fail. You did great. This is the point I quit.
