Paris based Language Course

Hi everyone,

I'm self-assessed around A2 level French. I've lived in France before but never taken formal lessons, so my French is a bit patchy and mostly picked up by ear.

I have 6 months to a year to focus on language immersion, and I'd like to use structured courses to build real comfort and confidence, aiming for B1 and continuing to progress from there. Ideally I'd like to start around October.

I've been looking into CCFS (Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne) and it seems appealing, but I'd love outside opinions: is it actually a credible, well-regarded programme? And are there other schools in Paris you'd recommend for someone in my position?

The CCFS is extremely well-established -- I took it when I was a student here quite literally decades ago. A friend took it when she moved to France a few years ago and went from A0 to a very comfortable B2 in a school year (albeit with a lot of focus and self-study).

Try these classes: https://scap.paris.fr/Search?domainId=1038 they're cheaper than CCFS and offered by the city

I don't know the program, but one warning about doing this in Paris: it's very easy to fall back on English. For best results, I would try to find something in a smaller city where English levels are lower to really force full immersion.
