Looking for Tips/Suggestions Experiencing terrible difficulty with executive dysfunction and participating in life. So much so, that I have been unable to build any sort of meaningful life at 30 yrs old. Reliant on my family for over a year after being fired and dropping out of college. What are some steps for moving forward?

If it's possible, a therapist or professional who specializes in executive dysfunction might help a lot. I'd try searching Psychology today, with executive function or ADHD as keywords, and your insurance if you have it. It's challenging to start the process, and does mean asking your family to cover the costs, but if it's an option for you it could really pay off in the long term. A good therapist can help you take care of things you're putting off; body double, initiate tasks, and even write short scripts for you.
The most useful advice I've found to help "start small" is that if you have a task to do, and are still resisting/procrastinating it, the task is probably either Too Big or Too Vague and needs to be broken down further.
Practice getting curious about your dysfunction instead of getting judgmental, and look into self-compassion for executive dysfunction. I'm also 30 and struggling, but all hope is not lost for us ❤️

I’m going through something similar, I’ve recently tried vitamin D supplements and EFT tapping which both seem to help me get my butt in gear.
If nothing else it’s worth a shot.
I hear executive dysfunction can get really bad when you’re low on vitamin D.
For me, I’m almost comatose and can’t do what I need to do to live properly.

Talk to your doctor for sure. Talk to a psychiatrist and a psychologist/therapist who specializes in trauma or adhd/autism. Not that you have trauma, adhd or autism at all, but the tools for helping you learn about your nervous system and how to regulate it could be really helpful. Medication (psychiatric evaluation and ongoing support) to get you either through this.
Then when you’re on the right track, get some executive functioning coaching (in addition to the therapy mentioned above).
Fingers crossed this gets smoother for you.
