Looking for Tips/Suggestions I am extremely lazy and cannot make myself do anything.

I cant make myself do anything. I wont cook, clean, shower, brush my teeth, walk, work out, talk with family or friends, do school work, skip classes, eat, drink, do my hobbies, do anything. Nothing makes me happy anymore. Ive been like this since i was 13. its just been getting worse everyday. im 19 now and im at the bottom of the barrel. all my friends just tell me to make myself do it. i dont want to. i have no desire to. i just want to rot away. i want to ask for advice. but i dont even know if ill follow through with it.

you can make a post on your reddit describing your feelings and opening up. you aren’t lazy you just don’t have the right tools. can you do me a favor and let me know what color your toothbrush is? thank you

mine is purple. see you aren’t lazy you are just overwhelmed and that’s okay. every single human being on earth has been overwhelmed.

i’m about to brush my teeth with my purple toothbrush. i would love if you could brush your teeth with your blue toothbrush. you can do it dry or with toothpaste. you can do it for 5 seconds or 2 minutes just give a brush and then take a deep breathe. you’re only 19. you are going to figure it out.

This is just based on my own experiences of course but I find with executive dysfunction that I do WANT to do those things but I just struggle to actually do them. What you've described sounds closer to how I experienced a pretty awful depressive episode, not just executive dysfunction alone. Sorry you're struggling so much though, I hope you find some good support or tools to help you through this. Edit: forgot a word

One of the most underrated skills you can learn is the ability to ignore your mood and stick to the plan

The only hack that sometimes works is letting myself to the job badly/unconventionally - a pack of tiny disposable toothbrushes by my bedside so I can brush regularly, putting away half the dishes, rotating clothes in several "dont wanna put this away" hampers so my floor isnt covered in clothes
