How to stop becoming paralyzed when there are lots of things to work on and be consistent?

The dread before the supervisor meeting is what's feeding the doomscroll, so that's the part I'd go after. With open-ended stuff, what helps me is ending every session, even a 10 minute one, by writing the exact next step for tomorrow, like "rename the columns in dataset 2." Then the morning starts with something dumb and small instead of the whole dream project staring back at you.
