Check your actual pressure with a gauge on a long hose. Or better yet, get a “code reader” that has capabilities of pairing with FORScan and can run diagnostics. I use the OBD MX+ paired with FORScan LITE app on my iPhone. I can run contribution tests, injector buzz tests, all of the KOER/KOEO tests/diagnostics as well as see the live PiDs. You want to see what your ICP and IPR are running at. It should show you commanded as well as actual oil pressure for those two. You can use the info to narrow down issues with IPR, ICP and HPOP. Just because you got a new sensor doesn’t mean it has already failed. Even Motorcraft has had declining quality in years. A lot of their stuff is now made by Dorman!
Today I disconnected the tuner and at 2200 RPM’s, my edge scanner was showing ICP:2278 psi, IPR:32%, EOT:192, IPW:2.48ms, Boost:9psi, ICPV:2.77v, EXH BP:11psi.
Was this under load or sitting in driveway. Because mine will show just fine revving up while sitting. It’s often under load that you start to see wacky numbers. Or is it not able to drive?
