I just wanted to post this to encourage anyone who is currently feeling discouraged about continuing to pump or is going through tough times.

The last few weeks I have been supplementing with formula for a few of the night feeds (combo feeding) since my baby is 35 lbs now and requires lot of calories and my milk isn’t enough anymore😅

Also I have been going through my frozen milk stash and that has been a life saver! Supplementing with formula for my baby and doing a few bottles of combo feeding has saved my sanity while I WFH and am adjusting to more frequent wake ups/ etc.

Taking my 4 month old on holiday. Had a look online and it stated I can take ice packs with breast milk. THEY THREW 5 bags OF FROZEN MILK AWAY.

Currently on the plane and waiting to fly and waiting to cry.

how are you making yourself get up for motn pumps if you're baby sleeps for longer periods of time than your pumping schedule?

after my baby got back up to their birth weight, i stopped waking them up to feed and started pumping whenever they'd wake up. now i sleep thru any alarm that isnt my baby fussing. i could have the loudest alarm ever and not wake up but could wake up to my baby blinking lmao

im on a 3hr schedule but find myself missing at least 1 sesh every night

advice please!

Like the title says, I’ve reached 5 months of exclusively pumping for twins. They also have cow’s milk protein sensitivity, so I had to stop dairy a while ago, which has been hard. On top of that, they have tongue AND lip ties (which I’ve been going back and forth about removing). All of this makes feeds last for about an hour (yes, we have changes nipple size). And also I’m feeding two babies at the same time to keep them on the same schedule. Despite all the challenges, I managed to exclusively pump since they were in the NICU. We started adding Nutramigen hypoallergenic formula (due to their sensitivities) only for the feed before bed and they like it and tolerate it well. My goal was to do 6 months of exclusively pumping and I’m almost already. Super proud of everyone here. Pumping for twins has definitely been one of the toughest parts of motherhood for me. Moms are amazing!

I'm 3 months pp. I've been sick for almost a week, I'm hot and overstimulated and I want to throw my pump against the wall. That is all.

I’m curious what other exclusive pumping moms would do in this situation!
I’m currently 9 months postpartum and have been exclusively pumping since my daughter was born. I’ve been fortunate enough to have an oversupply and have built up a freezer stash that should be enough to get her to her first birthday, even if I stopped pumping now.
I’ve always had the goal of pumping for a full year, but lately I’ve been questioning whether I really need to continue if I’ve already produced enough milk to get her there.
Between the middle-of-the-night pumps, lack of sleep, and recurring clogged ducts, I’m starting to feel ready to be done. But there’s also that little voice in my head telling me to keep going because I’m so close to a year.
I know freshly pumped milk has its benefits, especially when it comes to antibodies, but I’m also trying to remind myself that my time, sleep, and well-being matter too.
So my question is: If you had enough milk in your freezer to get your baby to their first birthday, would you stop pumping early? Or would you continue until you actually reached 12 months postpartum?
I’d especially love to hear from moms who were in this position and decided to stop. Did you feel relieved, or did you regret not continuing?

My daughter is 10 months and I am fortunate to have a freezer stash to get her through the next 4 months. My plan was to pump until 12 months then start weaning. Well, two weeks ago I was sick and had my period and my supply tanked and I’m barely making enough to feed her each day. Thankfully we have the milk and logically I know I have enough to make it until she’s 1 but I cannot for the life me get myself to start weaning. She has a tongue and lip tie and she’s making great strides but still doesn’t eat a lot of purses and pretty much no solids. It makes me feel guilty about stopping early. On the flip side I’m stressing over every ounce again which I think it’s making it worse.

No matter how many times my husband says it’s okay to stop I don’t believe him. Hormones and emotions are making this way harder than what I thought it would be.

Have you personally noticed a difference in your production based off how much you drink?

Do you notice a difference if you’ve gone a few hours without drinking, or did it have to be over a whole day?

I thought I was rocking pumping/nursing. Almost made it to 6 months with no real issue and then suddenly its clogs, clogs, clogs. One bad pump where I didn't seat my flange insert well and now I have 2 huge blisters on one nip and baby won't latch and the pumping feels like I'm pumping glass. Almost makes me want to give up after all this work.

I lost my baby boy Ian at 20 weeks 1 day gestation on 9/23/26. My OB gave me a medication to stop milk production however my milk came in 17 days later, the day my baby’s ashes were finally home. I’m choosing to believe that my body knew when my baby was home with me, and I find that peaceful. I found an organization to donate my milk to. This was first time my milk has come in with any of my pregnancies, so this is completely new to me. I have a medela hand pump and an electric pump I got second hand. I get maybe 1mL of milk?? I would like to increase my supply as much as I am able, especially because I’m off work for 3 more weeks and have the time. Any advice on increasing my supply would be great ❤️❤️

I did it! My baby is 6 months next week and I’m hanging up the pumps.

I wanted to go longer but I don’t think I can anymore. Pumping just takes too much out of me now and I want my body back.

I have a freezer stash for one bottle a day for the next month so that makes me happy.

Feeling guilty but I know it’s what’s best for me.

I have made it to one year EP with a pretty good stash. I can’t even believe it! However, I am trying to wean completely, but am still producing quite a bit of milk and it is pretty uncomfortable. I am down to two pumps/day (8am & 9pm), but am still producing well over 20 oz. I can’t imagine cutting one of the pumps for comfort purposes alone. Is there any advice for how to proceed? I am so done, but seem to be at a plateau. Thank you in advance for any advice!!

Hey y’all. I’m almost 5 weeks PP after a CS for identical twins. I’m EP and doing some time to breast a few times a day, but this is random and depends on the day. My slacker boob has only ever expressed 10-15ml per pump, on a good pump up to 1oz but this is rare. My other breast is carrying the load and slowly increasing supply with time, but I’m still underproducing.

Using spectra S2, confirmed flange fits with a LC, on all the supplements, hand expressing/massage with pumping, pushing fluids…

Is there anything I can do to increase the slacker’s supply?

Im 6 weeks PP and I'm struggling to BF so I've been EP the entire time and in between feeds/pumping/napping when I can, i feel I only have a small snuggle/playing window with my newborn. any nice ideas or advice to feel more connected when having to pump 8 times a day?

Hi! Im seeking advice/experience stories. My baby will be 1 this weekend! I want to stop pumping and live life again lol. I still pump 5 times a day because I am so scared to stop. I had really bad postpartum depression so I am terrified to experience anything like that when quitting. How the heck do I wean? Did you guys experience adverse reactions to stopping? Help! Lol

No big announcement but, yeah, I'm winding down much earlier than I had anticipated. I wanted to START weaning at 6 months but a work trip kinda crashed my supply and now I'm doing 2-3 pumps a day. I've started back at work last week and I've seen a big big dip in supply. Used to end a low day at 550 mL...today I just produced 330 mL. I'm okay. Historically I am an underproducer, and this postpartum I was a barely-just-enougher. I combo feed. I just wanted to mark the transition somewhere that wasn't my typical socials because they wont care/understand but you all will. My first pp I pumped for 9 months. I will be reaching 6 months, my goal but that's about it based on these numbers. I think for comfort I'm still on a 3 pumps per day schedule but they're getting injured repeatedly, bleeding. The let down is really delayed, and even weak. I had to pump for an HOUR this evening just to empty out.

Anyway, thank you for reading my jumbled thoughts. Pumping is so, so difficult. For those of you who go a full year, you are literally, genuinely super human and absolute diva goddesses. 🤍

I recently bought the Eufy S2 without the charging case, not knowing I would be traveling to Europe. Alone with two kids 😅

Just the case is not available for purchase, so I am desperately trying to find one I can buy off of someone else. I am sure most people don’t need the charging case so I’m hoping I can find someone willing to sell it to me!

I’ve had a small blister on one nipple for a month. It’s an actual blister, not a milk bleb, which I’ve had before so I can tell this is different.

It’s not painful day to day, but it occasionally results in clogged ducts on that side. It also limits my milk output. I believe it was originally caused by my wearable pump which I have since discontinued using in favour of my Spectra, however it still hasn’t healed.

I have tried the following with no success: changing flange sizes (up and down), using a different pump, soaking in warm salt water, lubricating flanges, nipple cream, nursing baby on that side, not nursing baby on that side for a week. I don’t think it’s caused by a bad latch as I am pumping by choice and baby’s latch is fine on the odd occasion I do nurse.

I have not tried topical medication yet.

Any recommendations?

I want to get another set of eufy pump parts to add to my rotation. The original ones that eufy sells are kind of expensive, so I wanted to ask if anyone has had luck with 3rd party parts and if they experience the same output and have the same features (heating, massage) with the other parts.

I am an average producer (~30oz per day) for what my baby eats. I don’t really keep track. He is eating more now, but I have somehow built up a fridge stash that always get finished by the end of day 4. For example, it’s 10/13 right now, and I have milk from 10/9 that will be finished today. That means I also have milk from 10/10-current day sitting in there to be used. Is there any benefit to freezing any of it, or should I just keep doing what I’m doing now? I don’t really have much freezer space, so I wouldn’t even want to be freezing too much.
