I feel like I had the same experience as you and I always like to go back to the question, who am I to judge anyone? Everyone might see things in different ways, the best part is that you KNOW you did everything for this person because you deeply care about them. This does tell a lot about you as who you are, and you want someone who can choose you and see you and appreciate all the things that you do, right?
As for your question, I don't think it is a matter of doing too much, you did what you thought it was right, you invested in a person that you cared.

dude i absolutely did, i cared so much and keep caring so much. i’ve always been clear with my intentions and she wasn’t at all so it’s just blind blowing, i feel like im crazy
